Jesse went above and beyond to help us with a last-minute rental while my car was in the shop after an accident. He was incredibly professional and made a stressful situation much easier

I have rented from Enterprise several times before, but this was by far the worst and also the most concerning experience I’ve had. At pick-up, the male representative who helped me misrepresented a safety feature and dismissed multiple safety concerns I raised. 1. Incorrect information about safety features I clearly requested a car with blind spot warning. He gave me a Toyota without that feature and repeatedly insisted that lane keep assist was “blind spot warning.” I trusted his explanation and left, only to realize on the road that it was not blind spot monitoring at all, just lane keep assist. Misstating a safety feature is not a minor issue. It directly affects how a customer drives and the level of risk they are exposed to. 2. Windshield / wiper issue creating unsafe driving conditions The car also had a problem with the windshield wipers. In the rain, the windshield stayed blurry to the point that I could barely see the lanes on the freeway. This was a serious safety concern. I contacted Enterprise for help, and the representative online was polite and helpful, and told me I could return to the branch to switch the car. 3. Dismissive attitude when I came back for help When I returned to the branch, I was assisted by the same male representative again. I explained: 1. The windshield wiper problem and visibility issue 2. The fact that the car did not have blind spot monitoring, contrary to what he had told me He ignored the windshield problem completely and again insisted that he was “sure it has blindspot warning” and told me to “look for the sign with a car between two lines, that’s definitely blindspot warning” which is still just lane assist, not blind spot monitoring. There were no cars with blind spot warning available at that point, and I did not want to argue further, so I agreed to take a different car without that feature. The issue is not the lack of inventory, but his refusal to acknowledge a mistake and his attitude toward a safety concern. 4. Unprofessional closing comment At the end, he said to me: “If you want certain features, you should probably choose other better options, like an SUV or something. They would have more features.” After everything that happened, this comment came across as dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that the original problem was caused by his incorrect information and a car with a safety-related defect. I am very disappointed that: A staff member could misinform a customer about safety features, Dismiss a visibility issue on the freeway, and Then suggest I should “choose other better, aka more expensive options” instead. I will not be renting from this location again, and I am seriously reconsidering using Enterprise in the future. I strongly recommend that management review this incident and the conduct of this representative, including his understanding of safety features and his attitude when customers raise safety concerns. The images are from the second car I rented from this enterprise
