The staff were patient enough to accomodate our questions. Though given that they were busy, their words didn't provide a signal of dismissiveness.

I had a great experience with Alamo as this location. Just make sure that even if you’re a European they will require credit card only and there’s no way around it. Spent an hour on the phone with my bank since I don’t use credit cards anymore. But got free upgrade which was nice.

No me quisieron rentar un carro por no vivir en USA, primero me dijeron que debía tener vuelos para rentarlo, incluso pagando con tarjeta de credito, también me dijeron que no los rentan a personas que no viven en USA. Lo percibí como discriminación.
Prepaid weeks in advance for a full-size SUV using credit card points for a family trip. Arrived at the San Diego airport to no cars available and no timeline. After over an hour of waiting, management (Eric and Ethan) told me to take a smaller vehicle and come back the next day. Next day, still no SUV, ended up in a van with a terrible smell. Promised a credit for the downgrade and inconvenience, which never happened. Charged roughly $1,500 in value for a rental that showed $700 on the receipt. No call, no email, no follow-up. Extremely poor customer service and zero accountability.
What a memorable experience!! Wow, my daughter and I were trying to rent a car and had what I can only describe as the ultimate customer service by this amazing lady named Rachael and a young man named Andre Harris. First, Rachael was kind, empathetic and incredible at her job. Her attitude and commitment to customer excellence made our trip so unforgettable. We had a horrendous experience at check in but Rachael saved the day and helped me give my daughter some amazing sites and memories that we both will have for a lifetime. We had such a great time and I have Rachael to thank because she went above and beyond to help us rent a vehicle. The memories we had today will last me whatever amount of time I have left on this Earth. Sometimes it does pay to be understanding and caring! Thank you Rachael, this experience was highlighted by your empathy, transparency and above and beyond customer service. Lastly, Andre Harris finished our trip with his bright persona, positive attitude and commitment to customer service. Andre was FRIENDLY and he listened, that might not mean much to most people, but his attitude made our day that much brighter, sometimes a kind word can make all the difference in the world in how someone is feeling or doing. This was arguably the best customer service experience I have ever had from a rental car agency. Alamo you hit a home run with these two associates, Andre asked questions when we returned our vehicle, his humor and upbeat personality had my daughter and I smiling, he gave us peace of mind in ensuring our experience was memorable and he also went above and beyond with his support! The customer service started off horribly and out of nowhere two of your associates came in and saved the day and in all honesty, saved a customer from feeling like I would never rent from Alamo again because of the horrible customer service I started off with nearly ruined our trip before Rachael stepped in and Andre closed the deal. Customer service is a skill set, this experience will always be with me as an amazing memory of our experience in exploring San Diego. Andre and Rachael, job well done!
