DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I paid for my Intoxalock back in march and the sent me the wrong device so it had to be sent back. They then sent the right device with NO PAPER WORK (DL920). I then paid for about four months and , calling and trying to get my paperwork to get my license that was supposed to be sent right away and their customer service would just hang up on me or not helpful. Then then finally sent the paperwork three months later and it got sent and they sent me the WRONG DRIVER LICENSE NUMBER ON IT. I then asked why they shot yo my price on my monthly payment and it was because they shipped the paper work they said. FOR PAPERWORK I PAID FOR THREE MONTHS AGO AND NEVER RECEIVED. they then tried to charge me for the third time to get the right paperwork. I only needed it for three months and I am now going to pay for multiple months now due to Intoxalock being UNPROFESSIONAL. having to get the device is expensive enough along with all the other things so save yourself time and money and STAY AWAY
Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
How does an interlock device work?
An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.
What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?
The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
How do I use my interlock device?
Using an IID is simple. To start your vehicle, blow into the device as directed. If the device detects no alcohol, your car will start. You may be prompted for "rolling retests" while driving, where you’ll blow into the device again to confirm compliance. How-to videos are also available on the Intoxalock mobile app.

What happens if I fail a breath test on my ignition interlock device?
If you fail a breath test, your vehicle will not start, and the device will log the event. Depending on your state’s regulations, multiple failed tests may trigger additional penalties, such as lockouts or reporting to your monitoring authority. Intoxalock devices allow you to retest after a short wait if alcohol is no longer detected. Always follow your state’s guidelines to remain compliant.
