  Enterprise used to be my go to rental place until I went to the Sacramento location. I went there to rent a car and they denied me because I didn’t have a credit card they can put on file. I just moved here so my license has my old address but I’m still from California so all I had to do was show proof of address which is stated on their policy but the lazy guys at the counter didn’t say that but instead they wanted to be unprofessional and dismissed that fact and still told me I needed a credit card and I can’t use my debit card. I needed to pick up my cap and gown for graduation and now I can’t thanks to the unprofessional, uneducated workers that’s located here.

  Update review 4/8/26 4 star: DuPri explained my pick up issues were due to a system update error and reduced my price by $82. This significantly improved my experience. If I have to rent another vehicle, I will probably work with Enterprise again. Initial review 4/6/26 1 star: Booked 3 days in advance. Took an hour to pick up the vehicle. Had to drive to another location. Then we had to wait for them to wash the vehicle.

  Historically my experience with Enterprise has been great up until a few days ago. For starters, Enterprise did not have my car ready when I got there and I had to wait over an hour for them to finally have an available car for me which foiled my traveling plans to a certain degree. Secondly, when i left my original car at Enterprise parking lot to be picked up later, no one at Enterprise informed me that other cars could potentially block my original car if I am returning the rental on a Sunday when they are closed. Unfortunately, this is precisely what happened. When I returned the rental on Sunday other cars were blocking my original car. This caused me to have to wait 4 HOURS for a tow truck to maneuver my car out of the parking lot. This particular location is unorganized and they don't value their customers well. I will continue to rent from Enterprise but I will be sure to avoid this particular location at all c costs.

  I had a frustrating experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car due to how they classify their vehicles. I reserved and paid for an intermediate / mid-size SUV, expecting something comparable to what manufacturers define as mid-size. Instead, I was given a Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, which the manufacturer itself classifies as a compact SUV. When I brought this up, the employee assisting me, Essa, explained that Enterprise uses its own internal classification system. That may be their policy, but from a customer perspective it feels misleading—you’re paying for a larger class of vehicle but receiving something smaller than what most people would reasonably expect based on industry standards. If a vehicle is compact by manufacturer definition, listing it as “intermediate” creates a disconnect between what customers think they’re booking and what they actually receive. At minimum, this should be clearly disclosed during the booking process so customers can make an informed decision. Overall, the staff was polite, but the vehicle classification system feels deceptive and needs to be more transparent.
