  We have used Enterprise exclusively for work and leisure for decades. Mostly because of the customer service. And today was another reason why we stay loyal. I walk with a cane due to disabilities, and when we unloaded from the car, the Enterprise attendant saw me with my cane and asked, "would we like to be driven by them to the terminal?" "Wow! That would be great! We didnt know it was an option." Singh drove us to the terminal, unloaded our very heavy suitcases, and saved us from a tremendous amount of stress and pain. We didn't have a walk in the cold, slick rain w my cane. Or try to load up and down from the bus. Singh helped us SO much. I just wanted to make sure Enterprise knows what a fantastic associate they have in Singh. He made our day.

  Customer service was really good. However the car smelled like someone smoked before we even started the car. Outsides were dirty and had bird poop on the windows. Expected a cleaner car before sending it out to customers.

  We rented with Enterprise @ the Sacramento Airport over Christmas. We have rented with them before at this location and we have always had pleasant, efficient service. Their cars are clean and in great shape. Very satisfied!

  I'll preface this by saying for the most part, much of the staff here was kind and helpful. However, one bad encounter can ruin an experience. Unfortunately I found the back lot manager (Layla) to be rude, confrontational, condescending, and very full of herself. I'm renting from enterprise as part of an insurance claim until my car is replaced. Unfortunately I had a couple cars from my local branch to absolutely reek of smoke. No biggie, some people are inconsiderate and there's not a lot that chemicals do against that smell. Instead of going back to my branch for a third car, I called into corporate and asked if I could switch it at the airport. They said no problem and put a switch reservation in at the airport. I arrived and drove down the return lanes with the current car I had. Layla was directing traffic so I told her I was exchanging. She asked what the reason was and I told her it was a smoke smell. She immediately said they don't do exchanges for that smell. I told her I called into corporate and they approved a switch for me. Without even checking her system she continued to say she wouldn't exchange it. I told her I would call in and have the rep speak with her. She proceeded to tell me that she was the manager and wouldn't make the switch. At this point I was frustrated because she wouldn't even check. She then tried to say I needed to go back to my local branch. I told her this was the second time that they gave me a car that smelled like smoke. She then laughed at me and asked why I kept renting there. Not only is that rude, but why would you belittle another branch of your company? Her laugh was uncalled for and condescending. As somebody in sales, if you don't know how to talk to customers, you have no business being in a customer facing role, or in management period. Whoever promoted her or hired her should evaluate the criteria, she's unfit for her role. At that point she called the other branch while I was trying to get ahold of corporate. That branch manager called me and said they had a car available that doesn't smell like smoke. I told them thanks, but I had been approved to switch at the airport and it's not riggt that she turned me away without checking. That manager also informed me that Layla was just a back lot manager and there was an overall branch manager over her. I went inside to talk to Brendan, the branch manager. At first he did try to say she was correct, but after a while he realized she messed up and that I had been wrongfully turned away. He then facilitated the exchange for me and was very apologetic. What should have taken 10-15 minutes took over an hour due to an employee who wanted to police something she didnt have to. This would lead me to never patronize or recommend enterprise to anybody. I generally rent from Avis for my work trips anyway so it's not a huge deal.

  Enterprise did not honor their word. We rented a SUV car in the Broadway office Sacramento, they didn’t have the car and gave us a large pickup instead with the agreement that we will be able to swap the large pickup with the SUV at the airport facility. Now in the airport they mention that the swap is not possible, and we have to deal with a car that we do not need! Enterprise should be more professional and do not make deals they cannot fulfill.
