  Previously great experience, but never going back now. My wife took our car in for an oil change, tire-rotation and brake check. When all was done, the technician brought her the receipt. She asked if he'd done the brake check. He was visibly surprised, called his manager, had an exchange in Spanish in front of her (also not very customer-friendly) and then the manager said - they're fine, they're at 75% and walked off. When she came home and told me, I was quite surprised and dismayed because the previous brake check was thousands of miles earlier and the brakes were already much less than that at the time. So, it seems clear to me that they weren't checked and the 75% was just made up. So, I called and asked for the manager. Whoever, answered said ok and put the phone down. No one picked up for ten minutes - also, not great service. Now, we can drive the car with unknown brake-pad-levels or take it somewhere else to spend time and money doing what we already paid this Jiffy Lube to do. It is really disappointing because up until now we believed we had been getting great service. Now, even that is in question. P.S. If you check all my other reviews, you'll see I pretty much never leave a bad review.

  I came to the Jiffy Lube on Whipple Ave for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation, and let me tell you—this was not your standard “fast food” car service experience. Usually at these drive-thru style shops, you get the quick, transactional vibe: “here’s the service, here’s the bill, have a nice life.” Not here. Before I even showed up, I called in at their 9am opening and spoke with Jay, one of the technicians. His warm, kind tone over the phone actually caught me off guard—in a good way. By the time I pulled into the shop, I was already expecting a better-than-average experience. Once inside, I was greeted by Jonathan, a technician who should honestly be teaching Customer Service 101. He managed my expectations with professionalism and transparency—rare traits in any service industry these days. He even pointed me toward stackable coupons on JiffyLube.com, which meant instant savings before I even left the bay. (That’s like a Jedi mind trick, but for my wallet.) Now, here’s where things could have gone downhill: Jonathan let me know my back tire was basically on its last leg (or last wire, literally). Not exactly the news I came in for. But instead of the typical “welp, good luck with that,” Jonathan went above and beyond—offering local tire shop recommendations and brainstorming solutions for a problem that wasn’t even his responsibility. That kind of extra effort sticks with you. Bottom line: I came in expecting a routine oil change and left with my faith in customer service slightly restored. Management, if you’re reading this—Jonathan deserves a raise, a medal, or at the very least a plaque in the lobby. He took what could’ve been a frustrating visit and turned it into a memorable one.

  Asked for an oil change and a brake inspection, because there was screeching coming from my wheels. They overfilled my oil by about a quart (very bad, for those who don’t know about cars), and said my brakes “had about 50% life left.” Thank god my stepdad is a mechanic, otherwise I’d be driving on brakes that were basically gone. They did take some oil back out for free when I brought it back though, which earns them a star.
