I’ve been to several Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations, and this was by far the worst customer service I’ve received. Customer service roles require basic courtesy and respect, and that was lacking here. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated professionally. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, which was concerning. It left me questioning whether all customers are treated this way, or if my experience was influenced by the fact that I am a Black woman. I hope management reviews this situation and provides additional customer service training so others don’t have the same experience.

Specifically “Alexi” who spoke to me like a child when seeking to understand why the price he quoted was $50 higher than another VALVOLINE location. Sarcastically waived goodbye to me when I stated I wasn’t going to pay more for the same product. Stated “let me explain to you what different products means”.
