- AMAndrew Madrid4 days ago1.0I had a highly unacceptable experience with this towing company and strongly advise against using their services. Although the tow truck driver was polite and professional, the company’s management and billing practices were deeply concerning. My vehicle was towed after an accident through AAA, which dispatched C and D Towing Specialists. Because the tow was arranged through AAA, the towing service itself was supposed to be fully covered. At the driver’s suggestion, I agreed to have my vehicle taken to their yard, located approximately 7.4 miles from the accident site. Less than 48 hours later, when I contacted the company to retrieve my vehicle in order to additional avoid storage charges, I was quoted an outrageous total of $735. Upon arrival the following day, the manager, Jerry, informed me that I owed $580 and claimed the AAA-covered tow had been “discounted” to $225. I later discovered that my AAA service request had been canceled without my consent so the company could charge a higher rate than their contracted AAA pricing. I was also charged a $70 lien fee under the false claim that my vehicle had been stored for more than 72 hours. When I challenged this, the explanation was arbitrarily changed to “three days” in order to justify keeping the charge. Furthermore, I was repeatedly told—verbally, in writing on my receipt, on the office whiteboard, and within their system—that the daily storage fee was $75. However, at the time of pickup, this fee was suddenly increased to $95 per day, and the receptionist altered the documentation to reflect the higher amount. I felt coerced into paying these disputed and misleading charges simply to retrieve my vehicle and prevent further fees from accumulating. These practices were deceptive, unethical, and highly unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
