  What is the purpose of reserving a vehicle type, if you just rent everything on the lot first-come-first-serve? Other than the fact that I was "expected" to rent a vehicle with ALAMO on April 13, nothing mattered as far as advanced booking, or any advanced booking options. Replying to emails that ask you to "pre-register" and "skip the line", are an absolute waste of time. I can't believe I am.spending my time right now, in fact, to have to complain about this. What a waste... I will not rent from ALAMO at PSP again. No smear on the time.folks who work at the airport and do ther best to accommodate the busy crowds. This is 100% a corporate issue. My wait to get this vehicle was nearly an hour. Why did I reserve? I would rather take UBER! As evidence in their lack of customer care, I will be shockingly surprised if I get a response to this reply.

  Absolutely useless experience with Alamo. They gave me a car that was completely dirty, clearly not cleaned at all between users. It felt like they just handed it over as-is without any basic preparation. On top of that, the car didn’t even have windshield washer fluid, which is a basic safety thing.

  We had a great experience with our Alamo rental at PSP thanks to Alexis! Super efficient and incredibly friendly, she really went above and beyond for us. She accommodated our last-minute request to switch vehicles without hesitation, and when we had a small issue with the car (nothing to do with Alamo), she made sure it was handled quickly and smoothly so we could get back to our family vacation. We’re so grateful for her help—she turned a stressful situation into a much easier one. Thank you, Alexis!

  We arrived in Palm Springs and got in line to get our rental car. It took 1.5 hours to get to the counter and over two hours until we got into our car. They only had one person working at the desk, which is totally unacceptable when they knew how many reservations were coming. Many people waited 1-2 hours and they didn’t even have a car for them, even if they had a reservation. I took the time before our trip and set up the accelerated check in, but that didn’t make any difference. A person should never have to wait that long to pick up a rental car. Once we got the car, almost everything was ok. The windows were cleaned, but a two year old could have done a better job. The rag used must have been filthy and it just smeared the dirt around. If you travel to Palm Springs, use a different car rental service. Alamo was pathetic in Palm Springs.

  Waited 90 minutes in line to get keys for a van we had reserved, only to find out they didn’t have a van for us. (But don’t worry, they will see nothing wrong with giving you two cars so you can split up your family on your family vacation). Beware, your “reservation” means nothing to Alamo. Also, you will be disheartened to see employees clocking out right at shift end even when there’s 12+ people still in line who have already waited 90 minutes for their vehicles (who were also informed their vehicles will most likely not be what they “reserved.”)
