  I've used Alamo a few times over the last several years, across several states. Every experience was great! Employees are friendly and the check in / check out process was quick and easy.

  Avoid this company at all costs if you actually need a car. I made a same-day rental “reservation” through a third-party vendor, showed up to the airport on time just a couple hours later, and was told: no cars available. That’s it. No solution, no alternatives, no accountability. I planned my day around this, paid for an expensive Uber to get there, and Alamo essentially shrugged and said, “There’s nothing we can do.” So what exactly is the point of letting a booking go through if Alamo has zero intention—or ability—of honoring it? And if it was an error or they were oversold, why wasn’t I contacted immediately so I didn’t waste time and money getting to the airport? This wasn’t just inconvenient. It was a complete failure of basic operations and customer service. A reservation that isn’t real is not a reservation—it’s a scammy bait-and-switch. Worst rental counter experience I can remember.

  This has been the best customer service I have received from a car rental. I rent quite often and have had some horrible experiences but from the counter to Darren providing me the truck I rented, it was a painless experience. Darren was so knowledgeable about the cars he provides and had the best attitude. He was so professional and yet still kept that genuine care and concern for what I needed. I will absolutely be back to the Alamo at the Ontario Airport!

  The gentleman at the counter checking me in was great and very helpful answering my questions. The problem was with the attendant that gave me the car key. She was rude and Not helpful at all. I didn’t get her name because she wasn’t visibly wearing a name tag. I paid for a Tahoe or Expedition or comparable. I asked for a Tahoe she said they didn’t have one. I asked for an Expedition and she said they didn’t have that either. She handed me the key fab and pointed in the direction of the Wagoneer. She said to press the open button and I would find it. Never have I ever had to go searching for a car. I wasn’t the only one because I observed her doing the same with all the other people who showed up. People just walking around trying to figure out which car was their rental. Extremely lazy and unprofessional on her part. I saw an expedition and walked back and told her they had one. Without looking at my paperwork she told me that the car wasn’t in my contract, which it did clearly state it was. I was already very annoyed and didn’t want to ruin my trip by arguing with her. I left very disappointed and dissatisfied. I’m use to Tahoes and Expeditions because I’ve driven long distances in them. The Wagoneer was just too big in the front making it difficult to park and maneuver. The incident just threw a wrench on my vacation because it lingered in the back of my mind. Will try other rental options.
