  For a single day rental, they reported 5 new damages that I didn't cause. Even though I handed over the car to the employee and he confirmed everything is fine. They claimed $800 for Toyota Prius wheel scratch. If they don't drop this case, I'm taking it to the court. If anyone got the similar claims, let's file it together.   Terrible experience with SIXT. I showed up for my reservation with my valid driver’s licence, passport, and credit card, but they refused to give me the car due to an ID requirement that was not disclosed at booking. Even worse, they later marked me as a “no-show” despite me being physically at the location. Because of this, Expedia is now refusing to refund me for a car I was never given. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

  Booked a car as a contingency plan for if my own car was still in the shop when I needed to travel, then cancelled my reservation four days before I was scheduled to pick up the car. To my surprise they charged me $65 to cancel. I've never been charged a cancellation fee for a rental car before, and was shocked that they'd need one for canceling that close in. Zero callout of this fee in the booking costs (which I partially blame on Travelocity.ca). I should have gone with my first instincts, which were to trust the numerous negative reviews of this company, most of which were related to surprise and hidden fees. Won't use again.

  My experience at Sixt Toronto was outstanding. The employee who assisted us was extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. We received a free upgrade, and they were very accommodating by allowing us to keep the car until 5 AM even though our reservation was only until 1 AM. The car itself was very new and in excellent condition with no noticeable damage. A smooth and pleasant rental experience from start to finish.

  Don't rent a car from SIXT. They gave me a car with bare front tires and it blew a tire. I was lucky I did not get in an accident when it blew. When I lost a whole day waiting for a replacement, they refused to refund me even one day because I committed the sin of paying in advance through Kayak, a third party who represents them. Then, when I returned the car hours earlier than the deadline, they had the nerve to charge me a late fee. I spent too much time on the phone and all I could get out of them was a refund of the late fee. Beware.
