Assured Automotive is a reputable repair shop company, however bear in mind they are nowhere close to OEM. I had to re-visit them 3-4 times afterwards, 2 weeks after insurance closed the case.
After personal experience with this shop specifically, I strongly don’t recommend his shop due to workmanship and quality of work.
I was in repair for full right side 2 doors and rear bumper repaint. The problem with my car is, the colour is bright so paint work issues can easily be hidden. I have to give it to them, they got the job done within a week including receiving parts and the work detail reflects that.
When I picked up the car, there was a strongly strong paint residue on another panel which was perfect OEM paint quality. I was blamed and they immediately neglected the blame as well even though I knew it wasn’t there. To give you an idea, it was nearly the shape of a perfect triangle patch, and the surface was so rough it is like moving your hand over a piece of wood. Out of his kindness and understanding he offered to attempt to fix it the next day, which he did. At the end it was actually because of uncleaned residue from the repair, nothing related to me. I strongly strongly recommend you to clean your car after repair immediately because they leave so much glue and dust, it can easily hide their repair work. With regard to paint quality, I don’t want to enter that realm.
Next is panel repair, I have included two photos of panel misalignment on the side of repair and one photo of what it should be. The photos don’t do justice how much it protrudes out. I’ll take the responsibility, I didn’t raise it with them since I’ll just live with it. But remember, their ideology is pump out the work in short period of time and as long as you don’t see it, it’s good enough. This isn’t just one thing, I don’t even want to mention the difference in noise of closing the door as I don’t necessarily want to go back to that shop.
At the end, I cannot fault their customer service, the front desk people are great and understanding and they have a very convenient partnership with Enterprise rentals, however, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED with the quality of work.
FOLLOW-UP:
They have realigned the panel because the rear right panel between bumper and rear right passenger door was misaligned. They have successfully aligned it.
They have neglected to mention the rattling noise, which was heard during pre-drop off road test. The rattling actually doubled lol it is amazing with that result. Now it’s just as loud and from two places on the right side. That’s a skill in itself.
I will give props where it’s due, residue and “paint overspray have been buffed out” (their exact words). Like I said, I did not do a paint examination, because the quality of work and care of detail in other areas spoke for itself.
I know their front desk lady will tell you because your vehicle is worked with them, you cannot choose another shop. I recommend if you, strongly call the corporate office and demand a shop change because visiting them 3-4 times within a month, including pre-post insurance case, and 5-10 phone calls, you deserve a shop change.
Second follow up:
I have had my vehicle examined at another body shop, because they could not resolve a rattling noise despite two people claiming they have. Upon disassembly, it has been discovered that the employees at this shop didn’t even tighten the screws and one of the screw was plain missing. We didn’t even dive deep into disassembly, we just removed the A pillar speaker cover and the trim cover behind the front right door handle. A full screw was missing.
It says a lot about the shop here because I realized, the shop is employing young techs and engineers, people without true experience and knowledge.
