  Re-uploading this review because my original review was filtered by Google. I had a CVT transmission service performed at Great Canadian Oil Change on my 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer, and unfortunately I experienced major transmission issues not long afterward. Approximately 14,000 km after the service, the transmission began overheating, slipping, shuddering, and entering limp mode during normal driving. The vehicle is now barely drivable. The CVT fluid was recently inspected and found to be heavily degraded and burnt far earlier than expected for a properly serviced transmission. I also had the vehicle professionally inspected by London Mitsubishi, and their diagnostic report states: “Cause: Incorrect fluid installed in transmission.” The inspection also identified transmission fault codes, slipping/shuddering concerns, and signs of internal damage consistent with improper fluid use. I have already spoken with Valvoline directly and provided the inspection documentation and findings. Despite the report indicating the transmission damage is consistent with incorrect fluid use, they have so far declined to cover the damages. I understand mechanical issues can happen, but I am disappointed with how this situation has been handled given the evidence provided. If a resolution cannot be reached, I may have to pursue the matter further through Small Claims Court. I would recommend that anyone with a CVT transmission confirm the exact fluid specifications being used before authorizing service.

  Absolute disaster, do not go here. I am extremely frustrated with their customer service. We had our snow tires installed and immediately began experiencing brake issues. When we called to report the problem, we were told to contact a licensed mechanic because they “don’t do brakes.” Our brakes were replaced in June, yet after having our tires changed in November, we were informed by a licensed mechanic that our rotors were warped and needed to be replaced and was likely the cause of over torquing or removing the tires while the car was hot. As a result of going here, we are now facing a $700 repair bill. We submitted a claim seeking reimbursement for the repair, but were told they reviewed the service footage and that everything was done “correctly”. The lack of accountability or support from this company only added to the frustration. Needless to say we will not be returning.
