I picked up my vehicle on January 30, 2026 after an insurance repair that totaled approximately $10,000 CAD for what appeared to be relatively minor damage.
At the time of pickup, I immediately noticed a crack in the front bumper — a part that had supposedly just been replaced. I reported this to the shop right away. They acknowledged the issue and told me they would replace the bumper.
Unfortunately, weeks later, the replacement has still not been completed. I have followed up multiple times, but communication has been extremely poor. My calls and messages are answered but with same message 'I have to check with my manager' from the past 5 weeks, and no clear timeline has been provided.
It is unacceptable for a newly installed bumper to be cracked at delivery, especially considering the significant repair cost. What is even more disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency in resolving the problem.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. If you are looking for transparency, quality workmanship, and reliable customer service, I suggest considering other repair facilities.

UPDATE WARNING
I want to provide an update based on ongoing developments.
The manager, Kyle, and staff member, Ricky, were both aware of and acknowledged my concerns about my vehicle. Despite this, those concerns were not accurately communicated to my insurance company (even though they said they were), and my vehicle was reported as fully repaired. This has led to ongoing issues with both my car and my claim.
I continue to experience problems, including misalignment and performance concerns. What is most concerning is the lack of a thorough assessment. It is well understood that force from a collision can transfer throughout a vehicle, even if damage appears minor. Failing to properly investigate this raises serious safety concerns.
I was also told a frame alignment was completed, yet no measurements or documentation were provided. A proper frame assessment cannot be done by visual inspection alone, it requires specific measurements to confirm the vehicle is within spec. Simply stating “nothing is out” is not acceptable.
I also have multiple emails showing contradictions in what has been communicated throughout this process.
This accident was not my fault, yet it has cost me significant time away from my business as a self-employed professional, along with ongoing stress.
I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion and not relying solely on this shop’s assessment. I have escalated this matter and am now seeking legal counsel to hold both the shop and insurance company accountable.
Ongoing Issues & Poor Communication
If I could give 0 stars I would. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Assured - Concordia Ottawa. After being rear-ended, I clearly showed them that my tailgate had shifted and the gapping was not sitting properly. A staff member initially agreed the bumper impact likely caused it, but later I was told nothing was wrong and that it wasn’t accident related.
After the second time my vehicle was in their shop, I met with the manager, and we looked at the car together. He acknowledged that the tailgate was not sitting properly and said he would inform my insurance. That never happened. Instead, my insurance was told there were no ongoing issues and that the vehicle was fully repaired.
I was also told a frame alignment was completed, yet no measurements or documentation were provided. I later brought my vehicle to another collision shop who confirmed the tailgate gapping was not within spec and that something was still off. My insurance denied further repairs based on Assured - Concordia West’s report.
Communication has been extremely frustrating. I have several unanswered emails from them, and at times they stopped responding altogether and provided no updates or information.
It has now been 7 months since the accident, and my vehicle is still not properly repaired or fully diagnosed. My car continues to drift left, cabin noise has increased, and the tailgate remains misaligned. I also experienced significant uneven tire wear, with one tire worn down to the wire.
The lack of transparency, documentation, and follow-through, especially regarding vehicle safety, has been unacceptable. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding my experience. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting repairs here.
