After our first collision, the staff at Assured Body Shop were amazing. They made our vehicle look brand new again, the repairs were done efficiently, and the customer service was great. We left very happy with the experience.
Unfortunately, only a couple days after getting our vehicle back, someone backed into us again. Since we had to open another claim, we returned to Assured for the repairs. Once again, they took the vehicle in quickly and had it back to us within a couple days.
However, when we got home, we immediately noticed the front bumper was not clipped in properly. The front bumper repair was included on the invoice, but it was clearly not repaired correctly — the clips were broken and the bumper was lifting off the frame. We called right away and were told to bring it back the next day. One of the employees came out to inspect the vehicle, telling us they would make it right acknowledging that the issue had not been fixed properly the first time. We were then told to leave with the vehicle until they had time to deal with it.
A couple weeks later, when they finally got back to us, they contacted the insurance adjuster, who said insurance would not cover the repair again. While I understand that from the insurance side since it had already been included once, the issue is that the repair was not completed properly the first time.
What was most frustrating was that the manager of Assured also refused to repair it, pointing out scratches underneath the bumper and trying to imply the damage happened afterwards. That was not the case. We brought the issue to their attention immediately after noticing it, and we were specifically told to continue driving the vehicle until they were ready to take it back in — which ended up being 2–3 weeks later. By that point, they focused on the scratches instead of the fact that the bumper itself had never been secured properly from the original repair.
Unfortunately, we did not have a choice in using this location because of our insurance. Based on this experience, I would avoid returning for future repairs.
