    I have rented from this location several times and have consistently received exceptional customer service. Additionally, the vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, safe and new. The staff takes the time to explain the vehicle and its features, rather than simply handing over the keys. Thank you very much, Isaiah, Pridam and Barb and staff

    I have just had a terrible day of getting my rental. This is my first experience, ever renting a vehicle. I called and booked and planned last week for a small SUV for the Monday (today) with your call centre due to having my car in for service. On the phone, I was told the amount I was to pay come Monday for my rental and that’s what I prepared for. Come Monday I come in to pick up my rental and was not aware that I had to pay on credit card nor was I aware of the security deposit fees. An additional $300. I had the money to pay, but they would not accept debit and in order to pay debit I had to disclosed personal information- utility bill, pay stubs, insurance slip etc. which I did disclose two of those options on your policy but was still not accepted. I had nothing else I could do but pay credit card. I went to the bank paid my bill and came back with a full credit card ready to pay the amount I was told which was in my range on credit card. I go to pay and now my bill is a different amount which is over my limit. Feeling pretty frustrated at this point. I then asked what was the cheapest option and availability they could do which was still over my limit so I simply could not pay with my credit card and did not have a car available for me. I ended up walking out and calling down to Barrie which I had a great experience with and I was told the full amount total and how I was able to pay and got my rental no problems. I was also able to pay debit no problem because I was in the km radius which now what it is and was in that km radius from Orillia too. But was never told about that either. Why was I able to pay debit no problem in Barrie and didn’t have to disclose anything but your location I couldn’t without it? I understand you have policies that was not the issue. The issue was communication. I was told three different amounts without the $300 deposit on top of it that I was prepared to pay and I was prepared to pay it with the deposit with my debit card. Ontop of of this I was blamed by the staff like it was my fault I couldn’t pay the amount due to the policy and simply left with no answers or help. The service and the communication, especially upon booking should’ve been much more clearly communicated. The amount and the deposit for the total amount owed should be told to the customer not just the rental amount and to disclose that literally when you’re about to pay. I had travelled from outside of Orillia and made two trips up to still leave with no rental. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this staff and store.
