However, I previously reserved a car (in Bells Corner, Ottawa) and 2 days before pickup they called and said they didn't have a car available for me and can't/won't help me find one at another location. I scrambled to find a replacement. I called several locations for 2 days straight an NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE, how am I supposed to secure a car if an online reservation is not dependable and there is nobody to speak with other than customer service somewhere random in the USA, with no idea whether a location in Ottawa, Canada actually has a car available for me?! Finally, I had to trek across the city to get whatever car they had left at another location. Then, I was charged a late fee of $128. which yes, I was late and yes, I expected to pay something but $128. ??? That was way too much. Especially when I was dropping off at Billy Bishop and had to factor in the unpredictable DVP and Toronto traffic and of course, the ferry ride. Not to mention that when I arrived, there were zero customers waiting for rentals. I calmly parked and the office was quiet when I walked in. Really stressful experience and super disappointing.

I would recommend going to any other car rental service on Merivale aside from this enterprise. Worst experience, Especially in a time when I’m renting a car for a family emergency.
