    I had a very disappointing experience with the SIXT Toronto International Airport location. During my trip, the rental vehicle was vandalized. The passenger-side window was shattered, and the passenger-side mirror was damaged. I contacted SIXT customer service, and I was instructed to bring the vehicle to this location, where they would arrange a replacement vehicle for me. The original vehicle I rented was a 7-seater, which was necessary because I was traveling with six passengers, including children, and a significant amount of luggage. Despite explaining my situation multiple times, the replacement vehicle provided was only a 5-seater SUV. I clearly informed the staff that a 5-seater vehicle would not safely accommodate six passengers and our luggage for the 8+ hour drive back to Chicago. I was told that manager (Joshit) had been informed of my situation and that he would contact me. I waited the entire day and received no call. I waited again the following morning and still heard nothing. When I returned to the location to follow up, I was told the manager was in meetings until 5:00 PM. However, I later learned the manager was still taking calls from staff while my urgent safety concern remained unresolved. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication and concern for customer safety. I was left with no practical choice but to travel back to Chicago with six passengers and our luggage in a vehicle that was not suitable for our group size. While the front-line staff were polite, the handling of this situation by management was unacceptable. When a customer experiences vehicle vandalism during a rental, they expect support and a comparable replacement vehicle—not to be placed in a situation that compromises comfort and safety. I hope SIXT reviews its procedures for handling emergency vehicle replacements and customer safety concerns.

    Bad customer service . Told us that the shuttle is 24/7 and we can wait for a few more minutes but the website states after calling for almost 30 minutes that they close at 11 and the shuttle is only from 6am to 11 pm. Our reservation was on July 7 at YYz office . Name of the representative was Desirae and kept on telling us to wait for a few minutes . Bad service and didn’t tell us the truth on the information

    Terrible experience and the rudest staff. I would suggest being very careful about booking from them. I placed a booking online over the Victoria Day long weekend. I recieved multiple confirmation emails. On the day of the booking. I called them to ask them the address, I was informed that they had no bookings available. The staff was extremely rude and when I told them I received multiple confirmations from the company, they told me to figure out the vehicle myself. I will never be booking from them again, and you’re better off not booking from them either.

    If you are disabled read this one in full and I recomend them they are great just need to get to contact the branch amd you are golden. They are really great here. If you have to call customer service to confirm or reserve anything specific make sure they contact the branch. This branch will do whatever they can to help. My disabled peeps know we have to plan ahead so we will reserve specific things cause of measurment to fit our walkers or wheelchairs. So like I said make sure to talk to the branch customer service can put you through. They are great here just make sure to talk to them. For me I called the support and they reassured me that they would make sure the vehicle would be there. That said I originally asked to call the branch they said customer support said they would make sure this branch would have it so I didn't need to worry and customer support did not do that sadly. Had customer support rep just put me in touch I can guarantee the branch would have made sure it was there for me. How do I know this you ask cause at the branch they did explain they didn't get a call. Now rather then getting me upset since the vehicle was not there(as customer service lied to me if custtomer serice reads this shame on you for making this stuff the branches problems. People with mobility issues shouldnt deal with this and the reps dont deserve the fallout. Also I have a case number if needed) they said they of course can help me with options but instead of showing me on a screen(that would have been frusterating since I needed to fit medical equipment inside) Prahbjit or Prohbjit (I really hope I got his name right. It's not on the receipt for some reason) went through each vehicle testing the trunk to make sure it fit till one did. I don't call this options I call this showing progress through action leading to results. Or putting your money where your mouth is. He is a really chill guy so it's crazy the effort that just burst forth. He seems like he would be good at high risk negotiation cause of how chill he is. So end result would I go back here. Yep. Did I get the vehicle I want. It is different but it has great trunk space and I needed that. It is huge and that's freaky but I could stack walkers if I needed. Would I recomend this branch. Yep hands down not just cause they are great in side but because if something happense they will help to fix it and as a disabled person planning and adjusting is big so having a company that sees that and works with it is what is needed. 1 thing I do wish though is you could directly contact them withought customer service but that's how companies work. I do recomend you do the walk arpund of the vehicle well there. I didnt but it was very late and dark didn't know was a thing. I didn't even realize what the code was on the paper till later the rep probably told me I just didn't hear cause I had just got off the flight and by the end of car rental was fried. Plus could have asked about the fancy car. Anywho give them a try you won't be disappointed.

    The car I got was almost new, drove well and the service at the counter and drop off was nice. You will have to walk more and you will lose a bit of time compared to renting at the garage at the airport. Because they are outside of the airport you need to take a train to outside and then wait again for a shuttle to bring you to the rental agency. Not great if you’re expecting to be strapped for time for catching a flight on the way back. What I did not like was that when I had to change the car pickup the person at the customer service gave me a much better rate the day before and then when I arrived to pickup the day after the car she and I talked about was not the one that was reserved and I had to pay another $150 to get the one I wanted. If I hadn’t been in a rush I would have gone to another rental car agency. Going forward I’ll try to rent from the on site airport rentals instead.
