⭐ 1/5 – Very Disappointing and Unfair Fuel Policy I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences renting cars from Enterprise. Traditionally, when you rent a car, you receive it with a full tank of gas and return it with a full tank. That has always been my experience with other rental companies. However, during my last two or three rentals with Enterprise, I noticed that the vehicles were never provided with a full tank. Instead, they had only about two-thirds or three-quarters of a tank. The problem is that when you refuel a rental car, it is much easier to fill the tank completely than to estimate exactly how much fuel is needed to return it to the original level. For example, when I picked up my rental, the estimated driving range was around 500 km. After filling the tank before returning it, the estimated range was over 700 km. That is a difference of approximately 200 km worth of estimated driving range! For a car I rented for just 24 hours at around $60, I estimate that I ended up paying an additional $20–$25 in fuel that I never used. That is a significant extra cost compared to the rental price. What makes this even more frustrating is the double standard. Rental companies can charge customers substantial refueling fees if they return a vehicle with less fuel than required. But when a company provides a vehicle with a partially filled tank and a customer returns it full, there is no automatic refund or compensation for the extra fuel. I find this practice extremely unfair and disappointing. Customers should not have to pay extra simply because the company fails to provide a vehicle with a full tank in the first place. Enterprise should either provide every customer with a full tank or establish a fair system to compensate customers who return vehicles with more fuel than they received. After experiencing this repeatedly, I have seriously lost confidence in Enterprise. This is not the level of fairness or customer service I expect from a major rental company.
