  This was perhaps my best car rental experience ever. I used the 'Skip the Counter' feature when checking in online and was able to walk straight into the parking garage at Toronto Pearson airport and pick up the car with literally zero delay. My driver's licence and credit card were checked by an attendant at the exit in about 1 min and no attempt was made to sell me insurance or additional features. Similarly, when I dropped off the car, an attendant was waiting and I simply had to hand over the key and walk away. Brilliant!

  When Air Canada could not provide the services they promised and failed to get us home, Alamo stepped up and did everything we needed to get us home. We were able to book a car last minute with Alamo when Air Canada canceled our flight (last minute) and stranded us. When Air Canada left us hanging, Alamo stepped in and got us a vehicle large enough for 4 adults, a child seat, 5 large suitcases and 5 backpacks/hand bags. Thank you Alamo for helping get us home when Air Canada could not, and for making it super easy and stress free! Will definitely rent a car through Alamo before ever flying with Air Canada again! Great car, easy process, and showed up when the airline failed! Thank you Alamo!

  Priced in the middle of premium & standard they offer almost new vehicles mostly. Customer experience is of high priority here. If you make a reasonable request, they will entertain it.I Rent from them months at a time and I haven’t had any major issues with their cars or their staff. Would prefer to only rent from them, but at times the rates get a little high and I am sometimes forced to go to a lower cost lower service provider. Good corporate culture & attitude towards customers, be pleasant and realistic with your requested demands and you’ll drive out happy.

  Everything good. Service, car quality, personalized attention from each Alamo member with whom I had interaction. HOWEVER, I am shocked that an airport Alamo location (and at a major global airport - Toronto) actually closes between 2 and 6 am. I had sincerely not heard of a such thing in the Western hemisphere. My Air Canada flight was delayed an hour and a bit and so I landed in YYZ at almost 1:20, when original scheduled arrival was 00:05. By the time I cleared Customs, it was 01:50. Extremely stressed I ran the fastest I could to get to Alamo before it closed. I strenuously must reiterate that, at such an airport location, it is absolutely imperative for car hire places to be open 24 hours with a min of at least 2 people at the desk. I should note that when I brought this topic up with your employees who were at the front desk at the airport location, they both appeared to strongly support the 4 hour closure policy - and given their haste to leave pronto - they did not wish to engage further on that topic and had me in my rental car in record time. Isn’t efficiency just curiously first class when company employees need to get some place fast? (As an aside, at this same location, I have sometimes had to wait almost 30-35 mins before being served. The difference was palpable.) Airport locations must, by default, be open at all times because of the very nature of air travel and delays and so forth. I can’t believe that I’m actually having to explain to a major US/Canadian car rental company.

  The ease of selecting a car in the price range and the type of car we needed. The pre-approved to pick up after filling the forms helped in saving time by not being in long lines at the customer service desk. The process was simple and efficient. I would add the following to make it even easier to pick-up and drop-off. 1. When we select, it should also ask "Do you want to take the full tank option when you return?" With the estimated cost and how it is calculated, only for what needs to be filled or what? 2. The signs to return at Toronto inside the garage lacks proper directions to the drivers as they are already in a panic state to get to departure gate. CLEAR SIGNS WITH ARROWS FOR RETURNING ALAMO CAR SHOULD BE PLACED FREQUENTLY ONCE THEY ENTER THE GARAGE.
