Amazing experience at Fountain Tire! We went in for an oil change and the entire staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to deal with. Harsh and Dave made the whole process quick and stress-free from start to finish. It’s rare to find customer service this good nowadays. Easily some of the best service in Canada. Highly recommend!

David and his team at Fountain Tire are hands down the absolute best in the city of London! Their level of transparency, honesty, and professionalism is truly unmatched. They always take the time to clearly explain what’s going on, walk through the next steps, and make sure I feel completely confident in the repairs being done. It’s such a relief to have a team you can genuinely trust. There is absolutely nowhere else I would take my family’s two cars — they’ve earned a customer for life!

I have complete trust in this team because they have earned it over and over again. We have had David (the Owner) as our mechanic for years and were excited when he opened this location. Hes' a trustworthy family man who will show you respect.
The staff are handpicked and are so competent and friendly. They've even helped me solve an issue over the phone and saved me hours of inconvenience.
I always appreciate their patience to explain the issue to me and then produce an invoice that breaks down the cost exactly as they explained.
They run an organized and efficient front office w a comfortable waiting area.
As a consumer without vehicle expertise I would go no where else. I trust them.

After a $209 safety inspection on a vehicle that had passed a safety only 6 months earlier, Fountain Tire quoted $800+ in necessary repairs to certify. Among the borderline calls was a repair in a spot that would require removal of one tire, for which they'd charge an extra $70 half hour rate to reinspect if I didn't give them the work. Another suspect call was the hood not staying open—fixable for $130—but it turns out they left maybe 40 pounds of frozen ice on top during inspection. I suspected a bit of a shakedown was happening and went elsewhere to certify, and sure enough the car safetied after only $60 in repairs. The shop was clean and they seemed kind and friendly on the surface, but my overall experience with Fountain Tire was horrible. I'm glad I listened to my gut and knew to walk away, even if it meant losing $209.
Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly.
Common ways to measure tread include the following.
- Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace.
- Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low.
- Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure.
If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.
What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?
It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling.
Common signs include:
- Vehicle pulls to one side
- Crooked steering wheel
- Uneven tire wear
- Loose or unstable steering
- Vibration in the steering wheel
If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
What’s included in the seasonal car care package?
Our seasonal car care package gets your vehicle ready for the weather ahead. It includes:
- Fresh engine oil and filter
- Chassis lubrication (as needed)
- Charging and starting system check
- Brake inspection
- Fluid top-ups
- Belt and hose inspection
- Battery test
- Tire and pressure check
- Heating/cooling system check
- Lights, wipers, and overall safety check
It’s a great way to make sure your vehicle is ready for the season.
What do the numbers on my tires mean?
The numbers on your tire’s sidewall tell you the size, load rating, and speed rating.
Example: 225/55R17 97H
- 225 – Tire width (mm)
- 55 – Height as a % of width
- R – Radial construction
- 17 – Wheel diameter (inches)
- 97 – Load rating (how much weight it can carry)
- H – Speed rating (maximum safe speed)
These numbers help us match you with the right tire.
When should I put my winter tires on?
A good rule of thumb: when you can see your breath — about 7°C and below. At that temperature, all-season tires start to harden, while winter tires stay flexible and grippy. Booking early helps you beat the rush.
