If you value your time, your vehicle, and your sanity, DO NOT use this shop.
My experience with Assured Auto and Scott Talbot has been an absolute disaster.
I have been dealing with them since my accident in February, and the biggest problem has been the complete and unacceptable lack of communication from Scott. I cannot emphasize this enough: I did everything I could to communicate with them.
I called over and over again. I left voicemail after voicemail. I made repeated attempts to get an update, get an appointment scheduled, and simply figure out what was going on with my own vehicle. My calls were routinely ignored and my voicemails went unanswered.
This wasn’t a case of me being difficult, impatient, or failing to get in touch. I was actively trying to get in touch with them and was being completely ignored.
My original appointment was cancelled because the required part wasn’t available. Fine. Parts get delayed. I understand that. What I don’t understand is why, after that happened, I was basically left to chase them around just to get basic communication.
Eventually, after repeatedly calling and leaving messages, the ONLY time Scott contacted me was on a Friday to tell me there had been a cancellation and that the following Monday was available.
Three days’ notice.
I couldn’t make that work. When I tried to actually get another appointment scheduled, I wasn’t given one. Instead, I was essentially told that he would contact me whenever another cancellation came up.
So let me get this straight: I’m supposed to sit around indefinitely waiting for this shop to randomly decide when they have time for me, while my repeated calls and voicemails are being ignored?
Absolutely not.
After months of this nonsense, I finally gave up and took my vehicle to another body shop. They were able to do what Assured Auto apparently couldn’t: communicate with me and actually get the repair moving.
Then, somehow, Scott decides to call me afterward asking if I’m still good for our Monday appointment.
An appointment that was NEVER BOOKED.
There was no proper appointment scheduled with me. No call confirming it. No conversation arranging it. Nothing.
When I explained that I had taken my business elsewhere because of the months of terrible communication and lack of service, Scott proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of my sentence.
That was the final insult.
Imagine ignoring a customer’s calls and voicemails for months, failing to properly schedule their repair, allowing them to get so frustrated that they have to take their vehicle somewhere else, and then when they finally explain why they’re leaving, you hang up on them.
That is not customer service. That’s an absolute failure to communicate and an incredibly unprofessional way to treat someone.
I don’t expect a body shop to magically control parts availability. I don’t expect them to drop everything for me. I DO expect them to return phone calls, communicate with their customers, schedule appointments properly, and treat people with basic respect.
Apparently, even that was asking too much here.
I would strongly warn anyone considering doing business with this shop: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
There are plenty of body shops that will actually value your business and communicate with you. Don’t waste months chasing this place for answers like I did.
Zero communication. Zero accountability. Zero respect for the customer’s time.
***(EDIT)***
Assured Auto reached out to me regarding this review and asked if I would consider removing the one-star rating. I appreciate them taking the time to contact me and hear my concerns. However, my experience with Scott was genuinely one-star customer service, and I don't feel it would be honest to change or remove the review.
I do want to make it clear that my concerns are with Scott specifically and not Assured Auto as a whole. The rest of the team should not be judged based on my experience with one individual. My intention is simply to share my honest experience so others can make informed decisions.
