Reliable Motors Limited was established in 1940 by Lloyd McCabe and was located on St Andrew St. in Fergus where Tim Hortons is today. Lloyd's son, John McCabe took over the business in 1973. The dealership had grown considerably and purchased a larger building on 140 St Patrick St W. In 1992, John and son Greg became joint owners and formed Reliable Motors (1992) Ltd. Their dream was to relocate and expand the business in the south end of Fergus. In 2001, that dream was realized with the new showroom and shop on 990 Tower St S opening in March of 2001. Reliable is very proud to have been a vital part of our community for over 85 years and look forward to the next 85!
