    We walked into the Ajax location looking to rent a vehicle, specifically asking about availability for luxury cars. Right from the beginning, the employee helping us — an Asian man at the counter — had a dismissive and rude attitude for no reason. I was honestly taken aback by how we were spoken to, so I politely asked what the attitude was about, but he brushed it off as if nothing happened. He told us there were sedans and SUVs available but no luxury vehicles. I then simply asked if we could still see what vehicles were available, and he responded with, “What’s the point in that?” in an incredibly disrespectful tone. At that point, both my dad and I felt very uncomfortable. There was absolutely no reason for us to be treated that way, so we decided to leave. What made the situation even worse was that as we were walking out, another customer approached the same employee and he suddenly became extremely polite and welcoming. That contrast immediately made the interaction feel targeted, and honestly, discriminatory based on our race/color. I went back inside and calmly explained that the reason we were leaving was because of his attitude and how uncomfortable he made us feel. He had no response and just stood there silently. We then went to the Pickering location, but the line was too long, so we drove to the Whitby location instead and successfully got a reservation there. Later, my dad suggested we return to Ajax and speak with a different employee to see if there were better vehicle options available. The second employee was professional and helpful at first — he started pricing things out for us. I stepped outside briefly to grab the reservation paperwork from my car, but when I returned, he suddenly told us we should “just stick with Whitby” because his colleague and I had “started off on the wrong foot.” Then I overheard the original employee telling his coworker, “Yeah, I don’t know, they just came in yelling and left,” which was completely false and a blatant attempt to twist the story and avoid accountability for his own behavior. We never yelled or caused a scene. We simply questioned why we were being treated disrespectfully. The worst part of this entire experience was that the second employee immediately took his colleague’s side without even trying to hear us out fairly, and ultimately refused to help us further. Instead of handling the situation professionally, they made us feel like we were somehow in the wrong simply for speaking up about poor treatment. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience. No customer should feel disrespected, profiled, dismissed, or denied proper service simply for asking basic questions about vehicle availability and addressing rude behavior respectfully.

    Great service when my car needed to be repaired due to damage. Everything was ready for Me when needed. I also received a car that was as close to mine feature wise as possible, and I appreciated it.

    The rental car came with smells of cigarettes or someone trying to mask the smell with some other chemicals. They also only had 2 bars of gas in the car which is quite inconsiderate.
