  While traveling through Palm Springs just before Christmas our Audi Q5 started to run run rough and the engine light came on. One of the more troubling holiday travel scenarios - out of towner, broken car, it knowing who to trust… We found a terrific mechanic, Fastino at Top Notch Automotive, whose team took the time to trouble shoot the problem two days before Christmas. We worker out a repair scenario and timeline. There were two scenarios expensive and really expensive… we rented a car, went on with our trip to visit family and returned just after New Years Day. Fastino came through for us, they fixed the car with the least expensive option, he came into the shop before a long weekend and we were on our way. It was great to be able to find a dependable, honest shop in Palm Springs. I would highly recommend Fastino and Top Notch!

  I had an outstanding experience with Aaron and Faustino at Top-Notch Automotive this morning, and I recommend them highly! While driving from San Diego to Arizona, I broke down in Palm Desert and had to stay overnight. My oil warning light had come on shortly after an oil change, and with another 300 miles ahead of me, I was understandably concerned about continuing my journey. The next morning, Aaron and Faustino got me in right away. They thoroughly checked my car to ensure everything was truly okay and took the time to explain what they found. The best part? They didn’t charge me a dime, as the issue required nothing more than confirmation that the car was safe to drive. Their professionalism, honesty, and exceptional customer service immediately put me at ease. They were kind, reassuring, and genuinely cared about my safety—not just about making a sale. Thanks to them, I felt confident and safe continuing on to Arizona. If I ever need automotive work in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you, Aaron and Faustino—you truly made my day!!

  Let me just say that if you own an Audi or a VW and you take your vehicle to a "dealer", you are throwing your hard earned money out the window. I have a 2018 Audi Q-5 and had an issue with the wind deflector being caught up in the sunroof which prohibited the sunroof from opening up more than a few inches. Several months ago I had my Q-5 at the dealership in Rancho Mirage for it's 75,000 mile check up. I also had them give me a quote for the wind deflector replacement. It was quoted at close to $700.00. I was not going to spend that kind of money on it at the time since I rarely opened the sunroof. Just this past week I decided to do the replacement myself. I bought a genuine Audi replacement deflector and planned on replacing it myself. Unfortunately I was unable to get the sunroof to open up enough to gain access to the deflector. It had jammed. I looked around for another alternative to the dealership and found Top Notch. I e-mailed yesterday, told them I already had the replacement part and they said to bring it in today for an estimate. I met with Faustino (co-owner) and immediately knew I was in good hands. He was actually glad I had the part (most places in my experience would not have used it and upcharged for the same part). Anyway, Faustino took the car right in and his business partner Aaron took a look, he came back a short time later and quoted me a price of $150.00. "DO IT" I said. While Aaron was replacing the deflector, I had a nice conversation with Faustino. Genuinely a nice guy and the office and shop were spotless, which to me is another good sign of a well run business. A short time later the job was done and I could not be more pleased. I will not be returning to an Audi dealership anytime soon, I can tell you that. It's so refreshing to deal with an auto repair business that is honest and forthright in their dealings with customers. I rarely write reviews for anything, but felt compelled in this instance. Thanks to you both for your honesty, work ethic and personalities. You have a customer for life!

  I took my Audi in for oil change, Transmission Flush, and Brake flush. I had previously called around and had high quotes around $900. Not to mention Audi dealerships at $1200 plus. Mine was done under the initial quote I received, along with some free check points. The consultation was pleasant and professional. Easy to understand. I 100% will come back for any and all repairs. I appreciate the customer service and the honest prices. I am a hard critic so when I say this place is Top Notch I truly mean it. Was even offered a ride home because it would take a few hours to do the work.
