  Our car rental experience with the National at St John's Airport Newfoundland is very pleasant. Our flight arrived at almost midnight, their staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire process of pick up and drop off was straightforward and efficient. They will be our top choice in car rental next time.

  Friendly and helpful service. Great that we had am option to switch the car, given the one we booked was not available, and it was reasonable prices. Car having a sunroof was an important option that we appreciated. Additionally, administrative procedure and a painless, quick drop off was also key.

  Fantastic customer service in cold and rain. Dropped our family off at departures which was really appreciated. Great value for money offering for a one way trip from the mainland to Newfoundland.

  Travel delays can bring out the worst in a day. Yesterday, after a delayed flight turned into a cancellation due to fog, I found myself stressed, tired and trying to navigate a series of last minute changes. In the middle of all that, Brian at National Car Rental at the St. John’s Airport was exceptional. To make matters worse, I had accidentally booked my rental car in Halifax instead of St. John’s while juggling flight changes and travel arrangements. Brian could have simply pointed out my mistake. Instead, he stayed calm, was incredibly gracious and immediately focused on finding a solution. Within minutes, he had everything sorted out and turned what felt like another problem into one less thing to worry about. Then this morning, when my rebooked flight was cancelled again, I needed to extend my rental. I left a voicemail and before long Brian had already taken care of it and even offered to help further if my travel plans changed again. Customer service is often measured by how people perform when everything is going smoothly. The real test is how they show up when things are not. Brian was kind, responsive, solution oriented and genuinely cared about making a difficult situation easier. Thank you, Brian. You turned a frustrating travel experience into one that reminded me how much a single person can positively impact someone’s day.
