  Landed during a very busy time with several events happening in and around Fredericton area. Normally I would have a reservation although this time I did not. I found myself with no vehicle at any of the rental agencies. Joanne Appleby at National provided exceptional assistance to support me by reaching out and connecting me to a local business which is not a franchise. I was able to get a rental, but if not for Joanne and the spectacular service, it would have created significant challenges for me. Thank you Joanne! I note that you were training someone when we interacted, and I hope your trainee knows the importance of local networking in a community, and how it supports the customer. Joanne could have turned me away and she was not obligated to go the extra mile to help me, but she did, without hesitation; and knowing that another local company may end up getting my business. THAT is customer service! Joanne you rock!!

  Very disappointed in National. Booked a car only to be told day-of there are none available. Same thing happened to my colleague last month here. Kudos to the local staff who made an effort to contact me in advance to let me know, so 5 stars for service here. But 0 stars to corporate.
