  Amazing Customer Support for Travelers! I want to give a huge shoutout to the team at this Modesto AutoZone. I’m a traveler from Canada, and I purchased snow chains here for my Yosemite trip. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt and only realized it when I was already in Orosi (about a 2-hour drive away). Initially, I was told I might need to return to the original store to process the return without a receipt. However, when the team at #5699 understood my situation—that I was on a road trip and couldn't practicaly drive 4 hours back and forth—they were incredibly understanding and helpful. They went the extra mile to look up my transaction records over the phone and provided the necessary information to the Orosi branch (#0688) so I could complete the return there. Thank you for being so flexible and helping a stressed-out traveler! Your excellent communication and kindness saved my road trip. Highly recommend this location for their top-notch service!

  Avoid this autozone at all costs. I bought a battery here and they wouldn’t do the free installation as advertised on there front store. I spent $345 on the battery here and I had to drive all the way to the Mchenry autozone for them to install the battery because this Oakdale location couldn’t or didn’t know how to..The two employees at the front desk made up a lie and said they didn’t want to be liable for messing up the radio.. The Mchenry employees said they were wrong and they installed my battery quickly with no issue. I suspected the Oakdale employees didn’t want to install out of laziness. These two guys are either under qualified or just lazy, either way avoid here and go to the Mchenry autozone, at least the people who know what they are doing there.

  I bought a battery for my Honda Civic today, the worker was super friendly! That made my day today, I try to avoid Autozones that give bad service, I had to come from Patterson because over here they care more about the customers, thanks!
