- VSVictoria SparhawkDec 7, 20251.0We purchased Cooper Tires for our RV from Allen Tire Company about a year ago. We put less than 4,000 miles on the tires in that year. Prior to leaving on our last trip, we took the RV to Allen Tire Company to have the tires inspected and checked for air pressure. Everything checked out perfectly. Just 100 miles into our trip in a remote part of California while running at 55mph, one of the tires totally tore apart and delaminated, which tore up the wheel well of our RV and stranded us. It was a very expensive event. Allen Tire Company and Copper Tire Company just shrugged it off and refused to stand behind the tire or even offer a prorated rate for the tire. Lesson learned. I will never buy anything from Allen Tire Company again. I would never buy Cooper Tires again either, because it was a scary and dangerous event to have a tire come completely apart while driving. Cooper Tire Company didn't care about how their Tire underperformed. Luckily, it was a dualie tire that blew. The rest of the tires remained intact, so why did one tire blow apart if it wasn't a faulty tire? Lesson learned. Going forward, I'm running Michelin, Bridgestone or Goodyear and keeping my family safe.
