I’ve been coming to Fountain Tire on Fort Street ever since I moved to Winnipeg from Ottawa in 2022. I seem to have consistent bad luck with winter tires and road conditions here, but every time something comes up, the team at Fountain Tire has been efficient, friendly, and very reasonably priced. Most recently, I had another tire and wheel issue thanks to potholes. I brought my vehicle in without an appointment to see if a repair might be possible. Joe was incredibly helpful—he fit me in as a walk-in and had everything completed the same day, ready for pickup within about six hours. I really appreciate the level of service I consistently receive here. Big thank you to Joe for going above and beyond.

Staff was very straight forward, extremely helpful, efficient, customer minded, not trying to upsell just working with the client on best options. Highly recommend this location, rare to encounter this type of service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fountain Tire

When should I replace my tires?

Tires wear out over time, and how long they last depends on things like road conditions, driving habits, inflation, and temperature. The best way to know when to replace them is to check them regularly. Common ways to measure tread include the following. - Tread wear bars: When these are flush with the tread, it’s time to replace. - Coin test: If too much of the coin shows, your tread is low. - Tread depth gauge: The most accurate way to measure. If your tread is low or you see cracks, bulges, or notice vibration, come see us.

What are some signs my vehicle is out of alignment?

It doesn’t take much to throw your alignment off—potholes, curbs, or just everyday driving. Poor alignment can lead to faster tire wear and poor handling. Common signs include: - Vehicle pulls to one side - Crooked steering wheel - Uneven tire wear - Loose or unstable steering - Vibration in the steering wheel If something feels off, we’re happy to take a look.
