AMAZINGLY SIMPLE! I’m literally floored. Being an Uber driver, I’ve been renting cars for almost 3 years now. I recently picked up a rider who had just delivered a new 2026 Toyota Bz4x. As a driver picking up sales people is pretty normal for me and so is making simple conversation with them. Talking with Khaled about my past car experiences, I explained my nervousness about applying for a loan due to a previous repo (mainly because of the pandemic) and my not-so-great credit score. He pointed out that I was actually overpaying unnecessary amounts every month. After arriving to his destination, the Marina del Rey Toyota dealership, just before he got out of the car he mentioned he wanted to try and help me lower that price. On a gut instinct, I turned off the Uber app and went inside the dealership. Khaled and the whole Toyota team at the Marina del Rey dealership ended up saving me almost $500 a month!!! It was fast, easy and simple. Thank you Khaled and happy birthday!

I went today to Toyota of Marina del rey to buy a 2026 Prius XLE. Had a terrible experience. Will never go there again. After I drove the car around the block, The salesman agreed with me on an out the door price of $.35,000 . The salesman went to his boss to approve it and said his boss said he cannot sell the car for less than $36,802. I was upset with the change in price but needed a car badly. So I agreed to give them a check for that amount. The general manager told me that if I din’t finance the car for at least 3 months then pay them the rest in cash it will be much mire expensive. I agreed to finance it on the phone and agreed to come the next morning to sign the papers, He then called me half an hour later and told me the deal is good only if I come tonight and sign the papers. He said he has to move the car tonight. I said I am too tired and cannot come tonight. In the meantime a dealer called me and told me that they just announced that toyota is recalling 142,000 , 2023-2026 prius due to a rear door switch issue. I will never buy a car from toyota of Marina del Rey again. Rude sales people, bait and switch, game playing , dishonesty and no respect for the customer. It was a nightmare dealing with them.. Beware, you have been warned…

This dealership is awful. BEWARE! “Hello this is —— at Toyota---- tire light is flashing $245.00 (to diag) ---- front sway bar links (leaking grease) $895.00. front shocks $2845.00 ---- cabin filter $95.00 --- air filter $55.00 --- brake fluid $250.00 --- transmission service $385.00--- decarb $325.00 --- spark plugs $985.00“ I told them to forget it and do an oil change which he had quoted the basic service is $150. I arrive, and am handed a bill for 189.00. I asked and was given an updated bill for 153.00. Hmmm? What kind of games are they playing at this location. Go to a local mechanic you trust. These people are scam artists.

Pains me to write a two star review but here's the honest truth - quality of service has gone down at Marina del rey Toyota. Lack of transparency and communication, price gouging, expensive service (was told it would cost 6500 to fix my 2013 prius c with new struts and basic service itself was 350), 3 recalls in the last month with no remedy in sight for one of them for my current car (rav4), only offered a toyota corolla for rental when we bought a rav4, rude staff. When I traded in my prius c for my rav4 in may 2025, i was only offered 1500 for the prius c even though it was worth 5000 on kelly blue book. had to negotiate like crazy to get it up to 5000, and even so, they got their money back upselling us on a bunch of warranties. this past week, sales department offered to buy my rav4 and getting me to buy a new one, saying I still had 65 payments left on it when actually, I paid it off in full already. then they offered to buy back my prius c despite me trading it in at this very location in may 2025... what is happening with the communciation here? Giving two stars because not everyone is bad - the actual technicians are polite and Narisa, who stands outside the service department, is always kind. Even so, I don't trust this dealership anymore and will be going elsewhere for my service. --- UPDATE: updating my review to one star. Dolly, the service advisor, either completely lied to me or is incompetent - neither of which are good in a service advisor. I specifically asked, before picking up, if all three recalls on my rav4 were taken care of. she assured me that ALL recalls were taken care of. I specifically told her the third recall was something i was only notified about a week ago. She once again assured me all recalls were taken care of. We had been driving a toyota corolla rental for a month while they sorted out all the recalls and my guess is they wanted us to return the rental and have us off their back about getting a comparable car instead of the corolla in the meantime. Okay, so i get my car back and guess what? 3 weeks later I get a notification from Leslie in the recall department that they in fact, did not fix the third recall - which is a huge safety issue (a faulty back up camera). Now I have to go back to a toyota AGAIN to get this issue fixed when Dolly assured me it was fixed.... I'd like to mention Dolly also quotes incredibly high for service - not sure if this is across the board for all service advisors or just her, either way, my trust is shot with this location.
