As a neighbor to this business, find somewhere else. I had planned to go here the whole month for my smog. I came here last time and they helped me when I lost my papers for smog. This time, the guy didn’t want to help me. I told him I have had them do it before, and I have had my oil changed. The guy just walked away not caring. So I drove down a couple business and went to a Star smog and they did it for me, and they let me know I was correct, SpeeDee just didn’t want to help. Save your time, go somewhere the person that greets you is actually kind. Here, they just want your money, they don’t care about you.

I've been a loyal customer at this Speedee location Los Gatos, CA but my last two visits have seriously damaged my trust. Two weeks after I personally replaced my engine air filter, the older man with the goatee showed me a greasy, dirty filter and insisted it needed to be replaced. My filter was new and clean, so it was concerning to see one in that condition. It appeared as if it may have been intentionally dirtied.
03/02/2026 , I went in because my oil light came on, and the same employee told me I was 9,000 miles overdue for an oil change, claiming the service should be done every 6,000 miles. When I asked why the indicator wasn't set for that interval, he simply said, "We don't do that."
These experiences raise real concerns about honesty and transparency at this location. I will not be returning and urge management to investigate this matter closely.

I had an excellent experience with Speedy Oil Change and Auto Service in Los Gatos, thanks to Steven. Steven was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail throughout the service. He took the time to explain what was being done, checked everything carefully, and made sure nothing was missed.
It’s rare to find someone who combines great technical skill with such a positive, customer-focused attitude. I really appreciated his thoroughness and care. Highly recommend asking for Steven if you’re looking for reliable and stress-free service!
While we didn't get our oil changed at SpeeDee, I would recommend this business based on their compassion and kindness. My rental car broke down at the intersection where their business is -- oil drain plug fell off somewhere along the highway and I had no idea until I noticed the oil % number plummeting. Car died (engine seized) and they let us have the car pushed (yes, pushed by two incredibly kind strangers) into their parking lot where it sat for four hours as I waited for the rental car company to send a replacement car and tow the broken down car away. They were patient, understanding, and are the ones who figured out the oil drain plug was missing. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful - much appreciated by this weary traveler from Boston. If I lived in the Los Gatos area, I would definitely support this business!
