Went for an alternator change, Ike was quick to give me an estimate and finish the job in a day.
If you’re looking for a good mechanic in the area, Gateway auto services is a good place.

I was a loyal customer here for years and trusted this shop, which is why I wanted to share my experience.
Over time, I had several services done without questioning them much. After recently taking the time to look into typical costs and recommendations, I realized some of the pricing I paid was at the higher end — including about $1,500 (before tax) for a radiator, hoses, and thermostat replacement a few years ago.
I was also charged $239 for a throttle body service and $229 for an EFI treatment. Based on what I’ve since read and learned, these services may not always be necessary and appear to be relatively low-value compared to their cost.
More recently, I was told I needed four new control arms. Another shop later evaluated the car and felt the issue was primarily related to shocks and struts, and that only one control arm needed replacement. I did end up needing shocks and struts, which this shop had not previously recommended. That difference in recommendations stood out to me.
The work itself may have been done properly, but based on my experience, I would feel more comfortable getting a second opinion before agreeing to additional services.
