  DON’T GO HERE. I came here for a simple flush and when I came back they told me my thermostat was broken and that I needed to book a time with them next week to get it fixed. I asked my previous mechanic about this and he said he replaced the thermostat merely weeks ago - so either they were lying or they broke it and wouldn’t own up. I texted, asking if they accidentally broke it - to which they avoided the question three times before aggressively replying ‘NO’. They didn’t give any details on what they saw on the thermostat and could no longer confirm that it was actually broken - but that I could bring it in and they’d look at it for free. At this point, why would I trust them not to break it so they can charge me to fix it? I’m a young woman and so just have to trust that mechanic won’t take advantage of my gender or lack of knowledge but I feel completely taken advantage of.

  I found Ike to be a warm and compassionate man, and I believe him to be an effective mechanic. It has been about three weeks since I picked my car up from Gateway and it has been running very well.
