- EBEaster Bohanon1 day ago1.0The response to this review will be that they charged me for a diagnosis. I had to get my car towed here because it would not drive. They told me it would be $190 for a diagnosis and then they let me know that my car was having issues with the axle. They were hesitant on doing any work as I had recently replaced my transmission and they recommended I go to the mechanic that changed the transmission. They then told me I should be able to drive the car “slowly” to my mechanic. They charged and handed me the keys to go. The diagnosis in fact was not worth the price as they pushed me and let me get in a car they knew shouldn’t be driven and put my life in danger. When the correct diagnosis would be to simply tell me they cannot work on the car and I need to tow it to a different mechanic, they charged me $190 to see me only get a half a mile away from them because they wanted me out of their car lot. I did take my car to the original mechanic and they were astounded that Carotech had me drive this car. This was predatory and they put my life on the line. They will say that they told me to drive slow of which I did, but they should have never told me to drive the car. Never go to this place, I’m sure they have done good work in the past but they have predatory practices, especially when they don’t want to deal with you.

When I asked him why he took so long to even acknowledge me, he told him that it was his shop and his right and that God has promised him the freedom 3500 years ago to treat me like this. He was also a scammer. I was quoted $60 for an oil change over the phone. Upon arrival, he wanted to charge me $339! Outrageous!
