- MDMegan DoddDec 7, 20252.0I brought my battery, asked them to check it and if it's good, to charge it. 4 hours later I go to pick it up and get tells me it's all ready to go. When I put it in my car, nothing happens. Si I called and ask if they battery was good and if it did in fact charge. He said well it only changed 65%. So I said well why didn't you tell me it wasn't fully charged, did you check the battery to see if it was still good? And he couldn't give me a straight answer, he just said it should have charge in that time frame and that my brand of battery is usually no good. Which tells me he never actually checked the viablility of the battery. Even the sticker he put in my battery has a spot where they are supposed to mark if the battery is good or bad and he left it blank. I have taken many batteries to them over the years and have always gotten a decisive clear answer on if the battery is good because they have a machine that tells you if it is still good. The guy either forgot to check it and was saying BS to cover it up, or had no idea what he was talking about. This is why I go to O' Reily's these days.

When people do the smallest things for others even if it takes a little bit more effort, is what makes a great customer service rep or manager or owner . I know I just got a car battery changed but I had been having such a rough time lately and I was at my wits end today after trying to be as positive as I could be. Jose came out and changed everything for me and went the extra mile to change my battery on my car when we thought I was going to have to go to the car dealer because newer cars are stupid and hard to deal with AND I probably would have had to pay 10x more for what Jose did in less time and probably way more efficiently. Thanks to Jose and Diana. I appreciate it!
