Earlier in the day, I had to have my truck jump started three times and I was getting fed up. My Costco warranty was going to be over by the end of the month- but Costco had implemented a new policy a week ago saying that batteries cannot be returned before the warranty if they are not defective. (Which I don’t understand when Costco accepts returns for $800 10 year old mattresses with stains on them, yet I can’t exchange a $100 battery) I was advised by a Costco employee to take it to a third party in order to get confirmation that the battery was not able to charge which is why I came to this Auto Zone. The associate who assisted me is named Sylvia and she’s amazing! She guided me with getting what I needed to go back to Costco and get my battery exchanged. Without her help, I would have been SOL and would have had to purchase a new battery. It’s not about the money, it’s about the principle that I was almost not able to return a product within the warranty period right before the policy had changed when that policy wasn’t even in effect when I initially purchased the battery. So thank you, Sylvia, for saving my day!
