Special Finance Manager David Jefferson worked very hard to get me the best possible deal and the right vehicle for my needs. Even when the process became frustrating, he remained friendly, positive, and professional throughout. Used Car Manager Mike Krum has been fantastic. Unfortunately, the vehicle had multiple issues within the first month of purchase—including a faulty seat belt—which required several return visits to the dealership. This was not acceptable, and I would not have purchased the vehicle had I known these issues beforehand. That said, Mike has been impressively patient, positive, and genuinely helpful, working efficiently to resolve the problems and minimize the inconvenience as much as possible.

Ever had a salesperson listen carefully to what your needs and goals are when shopping for a car? Ever had one take extra time to make sure the cars shown match well with those needs and goals? And, have you ever had the finance representative explain all the myriad complicated details, extended warranty offerings, etc. in plain English? At Mossy Honda I recently had that experience. Hector Soto, salesperson, did not try to SELL me a car...instead he assisted me in finding the car I needed and would be very happy with. Finance representative, Truman Berg, explained the necessary state paperwork in layman's terms and, as needed, re-explained further. From start to finish, both of these professionals made my car shopping experience a non anxious experience and very comfortable. At Mossy Honda there is even a short storewide 'celebration' of sorts when a customer acquirea the vehicle of their

I recently purchased a new CRV from Mossy Honda of Lemon Grove. I love my car but There are a a number of things that I learned from this experience that I hope will help you save time and money during your visit. 0% APR & dealer Add Ons- I went to Mossy because this deal was so attractive. Unfortunately they did not allow me to get the deal and not purchase the add ons (floor mats, security installation, etc.) CALIFORNIA LAW PROHIBITS dealers from requiring you to buy dealer installed add ons. This is very important because it can easily save you $4000-$8000 or more. So, as good as the 0% deal sounds you need to really check that the final price after the life of the loan is not actually higher than it is with the standard rate and not paying for the add ons. Actually, they gave me the add ons that are already installed for free when I did the standard rate! Dealer Discounts - I realized after my purchase that I missed an opportunity to get price matching with Honda of Poway. They did give me $600 off, but the salesman at one point had suggested I could get more off. He comes back after talking with his manager and says that promotion is no longer valid. They will do everything to convince you that they are working for you to provide the best deal, but this is absolutely not true. Check before hand what deals are going on and don’t be afraid to step away. To this point, I stepped away and came back a second day. 30 minutes to print a paper - It’s very easy to fall into traps at the dealer because they are always go go go when they have you ready to make a purchase. Yet, when you want to compare pricing and understand the total cost of the purchase (after taxes, registration, interest etc.) they will slow it all down, take 30 minutes to print an invoice, and discuss with their manager how to keep the price high. Precomputed Loan - I signed myself into a loan with no benefit for paying it off early. I was able to put more than half my payment down so interest wasn’t that high. Yet, I figured once I sold my previous car I’d be able to put some extra money towards the payment, pay off the loan early and reduce the amount of total interest. Unfortunately, I was not given a standard loan. This was my mistake that I hope you don’t also make. Ask them what type of loan you are receiving. While my loan rate was the same as what my bank was offering my bank was not trapping me in a precomputed loan. Final thoughts: I had some good interactions with the staff and I had some bad interactions; the first salesman I worked with had the nerve to tell me that my wife sounded overbearing for encouraging me to leave. I did leave and when I came back the next day I had a much better understanding of what I was wanting/getting. I do not fault anyone for trying to make an extra dollar. Yet, based on the nature of the loan I received and the quality of my interactions I will not be purchasing a vehicle from Mossy Honda again.

I purchased the car from mossy Honda lemon Grove within within a month and a half of getting my car September of last year I had to take my car back to them in November because of the check engine light. I also took it back in December. They said that they did some work on it but when I got my card back the engine light was on again. I went back to them. They refused to help me within a couple days of coming back. My engine went out. I went to them for help. I think the guy's name was Fernando or Francisco. Whoever he is. He's a tall Hispanic dude with a little bit of hair at the top older gentleman with glasses. Anyways, he refused to help me. He actually told me that he had to leave because at that point in time his goat had passed away. When I told them I didn't have the money to buy a new engine they told me it was nothing that they can do my car set for months and I was still making payments on this car I finally found a place that helped me get my engine. I recommend no one to go to them, especially if you're getting a used car and you cannot afford a new one. Don't shop with them. They will not help you out. Also, when I first purchased the car they told me that I was getting gap insurance as well as warranty that was a lie. When I took my papers down there they had never added it but in my signing of my lease they told me that I had it on there. Please beware and be careful going there. They don't help you out at all. Here I am still paying out of pocket for an engine and paint car note with no help from them I've even tried to file a lemon law but because the car is a 2018 I can't get any help
