10/10 recommend using a different rental car agency at the LAX Rental center. I Was paying around $430 for a 3/4 day weekend with a standard car when we went to Pick out the car They were all musty smelling And wet Because they were all cloth. When I let the company know, I wasn’t satisfied with any of them and I needed a different option. They told me I would have to pay extra for an upgraded vehicle. Which obviously I did because none of the cars were able to use. I ended up having to pay around $475. A friend of mine used fox Rental and got an Audi for $95 for three days because they upgraded her from her standard vehicle highly recommend looking into them. I usually don’t have any problems with Enterprise But moving forward, I’m gonna try Different companies after this experience.

The enterprise was able to find the car I wanted - greatly appreciate that! Check out was quick and convenient. The worst part about the experience (mainly something that should be fixed in a central way by LAX) was the connection between terminal and rental center. The simplest way to describe is stinky chaos: you have to wait for the shuttle on the platform among many other people while trying to understand why the shuttle is not stopping. It took close to 30 minutes to reach rental center after picking up the baggage. LAX should check how things are done at PHX airport where the process is extremely smooth.

We rented a mid-size vehicle for the week of 12/26 to 1/2. Our flight was very delayed so we arrived late and were fully expecting problems (ie, we ran out of the type car you wanted) but even on this busy week, the rental process was quick and easy! We were picking up from Enterprise at LAX and checked in online beforehand. Once at airport, the longest wait was the shuttle transport but that was less than 10 minutes, and it serviced many rental car companies (not just Enterprise.) The shuttle driver explained exactly where to go depending on the rental car company booked, which was helpful as we then knew to go to the 3rd floor. An Enterprise employee greeted us and asked if we had pre booked or not. We had, and so we were able to go straight out to the lot where we were told that we could choose any vehicle in row (x). We got in, drove to exit, showed ID and were out. The return process was equally fast. We were met by an Enterprise rep who quickly reviewed the car and said we were good to go - and do we want a printed or emailed receipt or both. Quick, easy, simple so you can get on with your day. They may not be the cheapest but we do appreciate the efficient process.

We rented a car from here on our recent visit to LA. We could do online check-in and avoid any queues and went straight to the lot. As usual, Enterprise folks were quick, efficient and friendly. Nice thing was, we got to pick our car from two rows of nice cars, each row with cars on either side. Although we booked a standard we could take a (relatively) new, good looking Chevy Equinox (crossover) SUV with a big map screen, thank you folks! The drive to Carlsbad and back was nice and comfortable; It was also energy efficient with only ~15$ worth of gas each way. The return process was very smooth with friendly folks greeting us! Note that the return is just *after* the rental center with shuttles etc. Only pain, more to do with LAX as it is true for all rentals, you need a shuttle to get here from the airport that takes around 15-20 minutes, so plan accordingly and add in the buffer particularly for return departure as you need to fill in the gas as well. A minor tip: ARCO at Century blvd only ~1 mile, is much cheaper than the pumps at Aviation blvd closer to rentals and you would need almost the same time.

Picked up a car at LAX and was planning to return to a different location but realized as travel plans changed our best course of action would be to return to LAX. I had three separate calls with Enterprise customer service to modify the drop off and was told each time it was handled, only to continue receiving notifications saying I needed to drop off at the location I'd originally selected when I made the reservation. I called a fourth time the day before I was returning the car and was told if I wanted to modify I would incur an additional fee of nearly $100. Never had this fee been mentioned on any other call. I found this ludicrous and opted to return to the same location though it made things extremely inconvenient for our travel plans. Upon arriving at the return location there was one person on staff, completely overwhelmed with trying to process both pick ups and returns, having to wash the cars and the phones were ringing off the hook. Enterprise needs to invest in better customer service education and please get your staff some help during the holiday season! Very unlikely to rent from here again which is unfortunate considering Enterprise used to be my go-to.
