  No stars: My shopping experience at this AutoZone location was unfortunately very unpleasant. I initially visited the store because my mother’s vehicle, a 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250, needed coolant. I purchased Peak OET Violet coolant after being told by an associate that it would work for the vehicle. After opening the product but before adding it to the car, I noticed that the coolant already in the vehicle was pink, which prompted me to do some additional research. I’m glad I did, because mixing the wrong coolant types can potentially cause chemical reactions or sludge buildup that may damage the cooling system. I returned to the store to either exchange the product or receive a refund. While browsing alternatives, I found another coolant, but the labeling did not mention Mercedes-Benz compatibility and appeared to be designed for other vehicle brands. The associate also pointed this out, which led me to request a refund. However, because the product had been opened, the associate insisted on doing an exchange rather than processing a refund. During the interaction, the associate made a comment suggesting that Mercedes sometimes puts the wrong coolant in their vehicles intentionally, which he claimed had happened to him personally. This comment felt inappropriate and unprofessional, especially after he had asked about how long we had owned the vehicle and whether it had been serviced at the dealership. It came across as speculation rather than helpful guidance. Additionally, I noticed several associates using inappropriate language while speaking with each other on the sales floor. While I understand that many employees may be younger, I believe a professional environment and respectful language should still be maintained in a customer-facing business. Because I still left with a product that I could not confidently use for the vehicle, I decided to visit O’Reilly Auto Parts, where the experience was much better. The associate there immediately understood the situation and helped identify the correct coolant for the vehicle. I hope this feedback helps improve customer service and product guidance for future customers.
