The technician did not secure the air filter correctly which ended up sending the retaining clip into the throttle assembly almost sticking the throttle in the full open position. Luckily the car went into limp mode. My family and I were over 100 miles away from home at the time and had to arrange for a hotel, transportation back and cancel our plans for the weekend. Valvoline corporate started off as being responsive to our claim, but now are claiming that they are not responsible for the repair to our air intake hose their technician caused. Nickel and diming us, it's been over 3 weeks and they still haven't paid for any repairs.

I ask I don’t want the incorrect number reported to carfax. They said it would depend when they would call and said I could call. I paid $150 for an oil change just to be told I need to call carfax to fix your issues? I brought the issue up and no offer to resolve except it will take a while to call. They then told me they sent an email and could take a few days. It was able to be resolved after email. I had to contact Valvoline support. They did say a manager would contact me in two business but two weeks later no call.
