I was charged $422.21 for a rental that was confirmed at $345.02 at booking and pickup. The car was returned on time, fully fueled, and in perfect condition, yet I was overcharged by $77.19. The branch manager admitted it was an Enterprise error caused by a potential system glitch and promised a refund for the overcharged amount. A refund briefly showed as “pending” but was never completed. I was repeatedly promised callbacks from the branch that never happened. Enterprise Corporate offices told me twice they would open a case and have the local branch contact me — that also never happened. Despite providing proof and being told I was overcharged, Enterprise later told my credit card company that I was not — directly contradicting what they had already admitted. Enterprise used to be my go-to rental car company for both business and personal travel because they were reliable and hassle-free. They blew it. This experience destroyed my trust in their billing integrity and customer support. If this happened to me, how many thousands of other customers has it happened to? I’m still waiting for the refund that was promised months ago. I will never use Enterprise again and urge others to use caution.
