- KSKait S.Aug 28, 20251.0Reserved a moving truck in advanced for a very big move from west to east coast. We check in at counter and their ID verification flagged my driver's license, no explanation, and immediately had refuse renting me a moving truck. I have a REAL ID drivers license that is good till 2027. I've never even had points on my license, and no record. This totally threw my hubby and I off. We were on a set time line to move, had to scramble to find another rental, costing us more money. I clarified with the customer service rep at counter that I would not be charged anything since they refused to rent to me, and I was assured I would not be charged. Well, this morning my bank flagged a $100 charge from Penske, of which my bank thankfully declined. It was a horrible way to start our big move day, and made us scramble and cost us so much more for having to booked something last minute. Would never recommend. They should prescreen people upon reservation, instead of day of only, so customers are not totally screwed while in the middle of huge life changes.

Today we went to pick up our moving rental that we made over a month ago and built our schedule around and when they had their app scan my wife's license (realID, used at the airport regularly) it came up as 'flagged'. Penske cancelled our rental on the spot and wouldn't let me rent either due to this flag. Now we are scrambling to find a moving truck last minute and have our entire move jeopardized by this app they require. To be clear, my wife has no points, California, REAL ID license. Stay far away from this company.
- JBJohn BenavidesMar 31, 20212.0Took my truck in on Friday Saturday they told me I needed exhaust gaskets on my manifold don't show any movement with my truck and my GPS show movement on Tuesday when they started taking exhaust apart they found the problem which wasn't exhaust manifold lost out on three days of work around $600 not made not happy
