  I booked a mobile windshield installation at the Dunbrook location before going to the Escondido location. They contacted me the night before and let me know that the part had not arrived and I needed to go online and re-book. Fair enough... I booked a later date and they called me at the time of appointment and said I needed to go online and rebook again as my Mercedes 550 CL windshield required me to bring the car into their shop. I decided that the San Diego Dunbrook location was not for me and booked an appointment with the Safelite Escondido location. I drove to that location and dropped the car off. They called 30 minutes later to say they had ordered the wrong windshield. DONE WITH SAFELITE. I went to a different local glass shop and they performed a flawless mobile installation. I wish I had bypassed Safelite and saved the 15 days I wasted...

  be careful 1. what they offer you online is not the same for what youo get 2. they dont have all the winshield, all what they want is to get you in 3. even they said that they put it wax on my window, not true 4. they just came to my door and said it was done without offering to check it, even the clicker i had on the window was srown on the floor 5. to top it off their office lady she need to be retrained to how to talk to people, and lazy to do any extra work.

  Great service overall. I made the appointment online, I arrived a bit early as recommended, they took my keys and went to work. In this instance, I chose to wait for my car to be done... the estimated wait time was 1-2 hours. Since I drive an older vehicle without any smart features (cameras/radar/etc) in the windshield, I expected the replacement to take on the lower end of the estimate. Unfortunately, it took the full 2 hours. That's fine... they didn't go over the estimate, so I can't fault them for that. However, the waiting experience is lack luster. Granted, there are refreshments like water and coffee in the waiting area. The chairs are also pretty comfortable. But it's dark and quiet, and unless your phone is on the fuller side of a charge, you'll be fresh out of entertainment. That's the only thing that would take the experience to 5-stars. Aside from the waiting experience, the guest service was excellent. Friendly, polite, and when they were done with my car they gave me detailed instructions and information about their warranty coverage. Great job.

  Update January 4: glass continues to be perfect but I have now an ongoing issue with my ADAS. It pulls to the left and right side too much. It was to the point that the wheel pulled me too far to the left side and would not correct itself to the center even though I pulled the wheel to center it, it was resisting. Verdict with safelite: they definitely went above and beyond for me to provide me reassurance and quality service. Second time January 3rd (Honored Warranty): Phenomenal job, truly. Melinda, the manager, called me asking if I could come by and inspect the windshield to confirm there were no scratches, the team inside seemed eager to help me, and went out of her way to get the retainer from Honda. This is what I consider “above and beyond” customer service. I expressed my concerns from the previous install, and I can tell those concerns were heard. Overall, clean job, no scratches, molding was perfect as if it was straight out the dealership. Upon driving, there was no wind sound either. Thank you to both Melinda, and the technician Fernando for their work. *the pictures posted show both the first and second time First time: Dropped my 2024 vehicle off at 9:15 AM for a windshield replacement and picked it up at 6:13 PM. The car was returned in worse condition than when I dropped it off. • Scratches all over the new OEM windshield, inside and out (deep enough to catch a fingernail) • Excessive wind noise immediately after pickup • Weather trim cut, damaged, and improperly seated (top lifting, bottom sunken) • Windshield not seated flush in the frame
