  My experience with the sales manager, Rick, was extremely disappointing. His attitude came across as arrogant and dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Because of this, I chose to take my business elsewhere. I expect a higher level of professionalism from a dealership representing the Shottenkirk family name.

  I was having a little trouble with my car battery today but the friendly staff helped me out and had it changed in no time. Fast and friendly service. The battery itself was a little on the pricier side but I’m just glad they were able to get this done the same day. Would recommend coming here for car services!

  Ever since buying my first ever Honda at Shottenkirk Honda in Davis I have had a positive experience at the service department! They are always friendly and helpful. My recent experience was especially made less stressful by serviceman, Kevin Davey! It was a major repair but he kept me in the loop before, during, and after repair work was done. He was accurate in estimating cost and time length of repair. He sent a shuttle to come to pick me up when my car was ready for pickup. He contacted me by text after a couple of days had passed just to make sure my car was running as it should! He made me feel like I was his only Honda customer! I highly recommend Shottenkirk Honda and will continue to have my car serviced by them!

  We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience. My husband called to schedule an oil change and was told to bring the vehicle in at noon that same day. We live in West Sacramento and are juggling multiple medical appointments, so having a confirmed time was important. Noon worked perfectly, which is why he rearranged his schedule to be there as instructed. When he arrived, he was told he did not have an appointment and that he would need one -- and that the wait would be a couple of hours. This was incredibly frustrating. Your staff told him to come in at noon, and then denied that appointment upon arrival. This situation was a complete waste of time and gas, not to mention the added stress it created. Scheduling and communication should be handled more carefully to avoid situations like this. Based on this experience, we have lost confidence in this business. The way this situation was handled reflects a lack of integrity and accountability, and it has seriously undermined our trust. We highly do not recommend this place.

  At the beginning, everything was very nice. When we walked in, everyone was friendly and offering coffee and assistance. However, once we purchased the car, it felt like they completely forgot about us. They promised to fully detail and clean the vehicle, but when we picked it up, it was only half-clean. The excuse was that they were “very busy,” even though a full detail had been promised. The seller also said he would reach out to schedule an appointment to finish the detailing, but he never did. They ordered a second key for the car and told us it would be mailed. If we hadn’t called to follow up ourselves, we probably would never have received it. When we contacted the parts department, we were told the key couldn’t be mailed because it had to be programmed. My husband asked if he could come in on Saturday to program and pick it up, and they said yes — but no one mentioned that an appointment was required. I ended up driving over an hour to the dealership, only to be told I needed an appointment. I was very surprised and frustrated, especially because we do not live close by. After the sale was completed, the seller and manager were no longer friendly or helpful. It felt like once they sold the car, they no longer cared about customer service and expected us to just “figure it out.” Overall, this was a very disappointing experience full of unkept promises and poor follow-up. I am extremely frustrated, and unfortunately, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
