Always friendly and they a) do what I want done b) have good/great suggestions c) always point out what I need based on knowledge of my car and how I like to keep it maintained. I have been coming here for almost two decades and always feel I am treated fairly, with respect, and mindful of my car’s age and practical budget. There are always things you “could” do, but unnecessary work is never suggested (and I have some formal maintenance training, so I know). It is slightly more having car dealer serviced (higher labor rates) but the work is done by experienced trained mechanics who know Hondas inside out. I never have to argue or ask why work was done, or worry about cheap parts, and we find deals on parts all the time, so it is not always expensive stuff. Work is done in a timely manner, not ‘when I can get around to it.’ Anyway, as I said, I’ve been going here for twenty years? And my grandmother did before and the service personnel and mechanics have been there the whole time.

DO NOT COME HERE TO BUY A CAR!
I have been received with terrible service from this dealership after buying a 2026 Honda civic. I regret buying my car from here. The service has been terrible and they have done shady stuff after purchasing my car. Every time I call reception to get some help there has been an unhelpful and rude person on the other line. A bank contacted me to disclose that the car dealership tried to get an extension of credit WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, I was never aware of this nor would I ever agree and by law the bank contacted me of this attempt. I have tried to get in touch with someone from finance for 3 days now and have been hung up on multiple times. Jose was the sales person that helped me with my car purchase. I was promised to get my car tinted and ppf a week after I purchased it and they took over 7 weeks to get it done after having me drive there multiple times and once I arrived they would tell me the person servicing my car was not there. I sincerely tell u that the service is not good nor helpful. I highly recommend to look some where else to purchase a car because this service is ridiculous and very frustrating. Even the simplest things are a hassle and you will never be able to reach anyone when you need it. I will not be coming back and I would not recommend this place at all.

I recently purchased a brand new 2025 Honda Accord from Vinny at Shottenkirk Honda in Davis, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Vinny was knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly easy to work with. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel pressured at any point in the process.
The entire purchase was smooth and efficient, and Vinny made sure I felt confident and comfortable with my decision. It’s rare to find a salesperson who is both professional and genuinely cares about making sure the customer has a great experience, but Vinny definitely does.
If you’re looking for a new car and want someone you can trust, I highly recommend asking for Vinny. I couldn’t be happier with my new Accord and the service I received!

I recently purchased a brand new 2025 Honda Accord, and my experience with Vishal was outstanding from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very patient throughout the entire process. Vishal took the time to explain all the features, answered every question clearly, and made sure I was comfortable with my decision.
There was no pressure at all, and the whole buying process was smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for an honest and reliable car salesman who truly cares about customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Vishal. I’m extremely happy with my new Honda Accord and the service I received.

I went to Shottenkirk Honda to test drive a 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid after deciding I didn't like how cramped the Toyota Corolla Cross was. The car was great, the price was not. I tried to negotiate a price that would fit my budget constraints, and left the dealership once they said they could not match my number. I soon got a *Text Message* (wish this could be considered a written/binding offer) after I left saying they could match my number, but only on one of their cars on the lot, and only if I buy it before the end of the month. All the cars with the Hybrid Touring trims on the lot were dark with black interior and I wanted white with grey interior. Spending this much money, I didn't want to bend on what I wanted, especially with the Sacramento summer heat. I told them no thanks, I would wait until I could get the colors I wanted for the price that fit our budget.
Shottenkirk Honda reached out to me the very next morning and said they "just" received two cars in their inventory that are white with grey interior. Ironically, this was after I reached out to Auburn Honda earlier that morning where I noticed online that they had 2 cars that were white with grey interior. I called Auburn Honda and they assured me that I would never get these cars for the amount I was promised, and that I was welcome to work with them once I found that out.
Well, after talking on the phone at length to the salesman from Shottenkirk Honda, and having him assure/promise me over and over that they could and would get the exact car I wanted within 48 hours for the price I was promised, I drove with my brother from Roseville out to Davis.
I was excited and fully prepared to sign the paperwork and have my brother drive my old car home while I drove the new car. After going inside and sitting down at the salesman's desk with my brother, and after about 15 minutes of walking back and forth to "discuss" something with his manager (who had already agreed to sell me the car for the price I wanted), the salesman told me they "made a mistake" and could not sell the car to me for the price he promised me, explaining that there was no way the numbers would work and it would be $2500 more than the agreed upon price.
I immediately got up and walked out, having to drive my brother back home to Roseville and myself back to Sac. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a dealership and calling Honda Corporate to complain and seek some sort of resolution or accountability did absolutely nothing (the Honda rep said there was nothing they can do as they have no control over the dealers). It was at this point I decided I didn't want anything to do with Honda whatsoever.
Long story short, my wife and I drove all the way out to Vacaville a couple days later and bought a brand new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited (was $2000 cheaper going with prior year model and had only 36 miles on it) with the colors we wanted and many more features for much less than what we were going to pay for the Honda CR-V, all the while experiencing a much more pleasant/friendly atmosphere.
To quote another reviewer of Shottenkirk Honda in Davis "I'm sure there are Shottenkirk customers who are happy with their sales experience. I am not one of them. I will not be returning to this dealership." nor to any Honda dealer after this horrible sales experience and lack of accountability both at the top of the dealership level as well as the Honda Corporate level.
