  As a first-time car owner, I was nervous about taking my Mini to a mechanic, but Import Motor Works in Culver City quickly put me at ease. From the first phone call with Cole to meeting in person, I felt welcomed and confident. The team was incredibly knowledgeable and honest, and they went above and beyond during the diagnostic test. The level of detail they provided was truly impressive and gave me a lot of confidence in their care. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy auto care.

  I’m extremely satisfied with the staff here. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything. It’s rare to find a team that clearly cares this much about their customers. I’ll absolutely be back and would recommend this place to anyone.

  IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. I’ve been a customer at Import Motorworx for years, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I brought my 2014 Volkswagen Jetta in for a routine oil change after receiving a 50% off promo text. The very next day, my check engine light came on and my car began violently jerking in traffic. I had to tow it home. When I brought it back in, COLE casually told me their mechanic forgot to put my oil pan back on my car. He then dismissed my concerns by saying that wouldn’t cause the jerking I experienced. No urgency. No accountability. Despite this happening immediately after their service, they still wanted $200 for diagnostics and offered no discount or responsibility. Later, the GM called with an unconcerned tone and suggested I take my car elsewhere because I “didn’t trust them”—after I’ve been a loyal customer since 2023. I wasn’t even given a repair quote until I asked. I ended up taking my car to another shop and spending hundreds of dollars fixing what should’ve been a simple oil change. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A DISCOUNTED OIL CHANGE. Apparently, the discount comes with the risk of them forgetting to put critical parts back on your car.

  I had a generally good experience at this shop for a major repair a few months ago. However, my most recent visit for an oil change revealed an issue with that initial service: the previous repair required an adjustment to be fully correct. While the shop didn't charge me for the labor to fix their previous oversight, I was charged $100-$150 for "extra parts" needed to complete the re-repair. I firmly believe that if the original service had been done properly, these additional parts and charges should not have been necessary. As a college student on a budget, this unexpected expense was frustrating, and I expected a higher standard of work for a shop of this caliber. They did acknowledge the overall inconvenience (especially the days my Audi was unavailable), but no further compensation or discount (such as a free cabin filter or a credit) was offered beyond simply waiving the labor for the fix. Bottom line: They perform good work, but the fact that I had to pay for a correction leads me to recommend that others take caution and get multiple opinions before accepting expensive repair requests.
