- TTTrish TapiaJan 19, 20264.0On 01/06 I returned to this store to exchange LED headlights that did not fit my car. The cashier (Pablo) told me they did not install LED, just regular headlights. I asked him for tips on installing because it was going to be my first attempt. He offered to help me if I didn’t mind waiting thirty minutes. At that exact time, Pablo came to help. He struggled with one of them, and as another employee (Robert) entered the parking lot, he jumped in to help. While Pablo took out the trash, Robert did his best to make one of the headlights stay on. After many efforts, we exchanged the LEDs for regular headlights. Robert assisted me at the register when we went inside for a second exchange. I couldn’t help hearing the employee with long, blond hair (who sold me the wrong headlights two days earlier) asking him what he was doing and stressing that he needed help in the back. I felt like customer service isn’t a priority, but an inconvenience. The tone was of annoyance that Robert started his shift and was helping a customer in the parking lot. That’s the subtle attitude that makes female shoppers not want to be in spaces considered “boys club”, it’s a reason why I’ve gone so long without stepping inside an AutoZone. I want to acknowledge Pablo and Robert because they are superstar employees at this location. They gave me a great first experience at AutoZone because they went above and beyond. They were patient, helpful, and nice. They did not lose their cool when we encountered installation issues, and I realize I probably took a lot of time, but they stayed with me until the task was complete. I appreciate their assistance because I was stressed about continuing to drive at night without headlights. Also, they didn’t make me feel stupid because I didn’t know how to do a simple installation. In the end, I left with headlights.
