I experienced a flat tire on Sunday afternoon (1st one in my Honda CRV). The car had to be towed (no spare provided) and Tire Choice Auto Service Center was open. I needed 4 tires because it is an AWD. The service manager efficiently determined the best replacement tires and ordered them for Monday morning, securing my car inside their shop overnight. The car was ready before 12noon on Monday as promised.
I’ve been here twice to have my tires patch and both times, these guys have been consistent with their customer service and quality of work. They’re very efficient and their price is very reasonable. Super nice employees.
I highly recommend them. If I need to replace tires, I’ll definitely be back here to give them to business.
Told to bring the car over, only to find out have to wait for 5 hours. We had a flat tire in the middle of our trip and needed a replacement. We were at a previous shop that needed to wait for 3 hours, so we called this place, double checked and told to just bring the car over. However when we arrived, was told to wait for 5 hours. Person at the shop was like “not my problem”. Very disappointing.

It’s unfortunate that I have to write this. I purchased tires here two years ago and had an excellent experience; however, this time was the complete opposite.
After getting four new tires, I noticed the very next day that my car was making a rumbling noise. When I brought it back, I was asked to drive the car while one of their mechanics rode in the passenger seat, but the noise didn’t occur during that drive. The following day, I returned and asked for a manager to listen, since the sound persisted. He rode along, and although the noise came and went, it wasn’t consistent. Instead of offering to put the car on a lift and inspect it further, my concerns were dismissed because the noise couldn’t be reliably reproduced.
To make matters worse, one of my hubcaps fell off, which suggests it wasn’t secured properly. When I brought this up, I was told to go buy a replacement myself, and they would install it, along with offering a free oil change at a later date. That response was frustrating—why wouldn’t they take responsibility and have an employee purchase the hubcap?
I ended up taking my car to a trusted mechanic. Once the car was lifted, the problem was immediately visible: the control arms were not seated correctly, and one was cracked. I’m not blaming Tire Choice for the damage itself, but a more thorough inspection during the tire service could have identified something so obvious. Likewise, more attention to detail might have prevented the hubcap from coming loose.
If I had ignored the noise and assumed it was nothing, the situation could have become dangerous. This experience reflects a lack of attention to detail and a rushed approach to service. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I had a really great experience at TireChoice in Castro Valley and wanted to give a shoutout to the team there—especially Stephanie, Stephen and Reuben.
I hit a screw taking the Strobridge exit off 580, which punctured my tire. I didn’t realize it right away because the screw was actually keeping the air from leaking out. After work, I drove over to TireChoice since they were one of the few shops open on a Sunday.
Stephanie at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful, even though the shop was clearly understaffed and very busy. There were several other customers dealing with similar flat tire issues that day, so things were understandably backed up. Even so, she took the time to walk me through my options so I could safely get home, which I really appreciated.
I decided to leave my car with them so they could patch the tire and check the others. The next day, they called to let me know everything was ready and all my tires were in good shape.
When I came back to pick up my car and pay, Stephen surprised me by saying there was no charge. That level of kindness and customer care really stood out to me.
Huge thanks again to Stephen, Reuben, and the whole team for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience. Highly recommend!
