  Hello, I am a frequent customer who uses truck stop shower facilities almost daily throughout California. I regularly use Pilot locations including Lodi, Salinas, Palm Springs, and Palmdale, as well as Petro and TA locations such as Ontario. I have never experienced issues at any of those facilities. At the Castaic Pilot location specifically, however, I consistently experience noticeable eye burning and throat irritation within a few minutes of being inside the shower stall. The symptoms resolve shortly after I leave the shower area. This has occurred repeatedly across multiple different stalls at this location only. Because this does not happen at other Pilot locations or other brands, it appears to be specific to this facility. It may be related to ventilation, cleaning product type, concentration, or dilution practices in the shower area. I want to emphasize that the staff at this location are always helpful and friendly, and I appreciate the cleanliness and professionalism of the facility. I am simply requesting that the shower area air quality and cleaning procedures be reviewed to ensure products are properly diluted and ventilation is functioning optimally, as the recurring irritation suggests chemical vapor levels may be stronger than intended.   The 5 stars we have was for the amazing food trucks that were all around the location. As to the location itself, we are in a Van and have been for the last 5 months and this was the first night that we were asked to leave. The over zealous rent a cop with his bulletproof vest started banging on our windows at 2 in the morning. We were really tired but didn’t want to stay any more and too bad for Pilot cause we were going to gas up ($170.00 ) and did but down the street. So 1 star for Pilot security, 4 stars for the bathrooms 5 stars for the taco trucks that were out in front.

  We usually stop by at this location to use the restroom & get our drinks & snacks! The environment has always been good. The restroom has always been clean! ☺️

  I was taking a shower here and the water is getting hot to the highest level by itself 2 times it’s happened. I was burning and then I was taking a nap on the parking lot and the security came to me. You have to leave not only me he said to everyone I don’t know this is travel rest area or something else
