  I would like to give a shout out to Ruben who helped me with my car returns for multiple trips. Not only was he consistently a joyful and enthusiastic person to welcome me back from my trip, he had incredible knowledge of each car I was returning. I really enjoyed being able to share tidbits of how the cars performed on each road trip. I’ve traveled in and out of a lot of different National Car locations across the country and he is one of the best employees I’ve ever encountered!

  Usually love this branch as I’m here twice a year, and rent almost weekly with national as a chain. However, they really let me down today. I had rented a vehicle today, the garage is rather dark so while inspecting around the vehicle I did not notice damage to the tire which appears as a dark slit. About 50 min into my drive into the AV, I noticed the tire losing some air. To my suprise, there was several deep cuts into the sidewall, a potential dangerous situation if the tire had blown out with the sidewall compromised. I called roadside assistance to determine the best course of action, which ended up being the recommendation to head to a national tire chain to get the tire replaced as I was only about 1/2 mile from a tire shop that contracts with Enterprise/National. The roadside assistance agent gave me all the information for the tire shop location, but had stated I needed to contact the local branch directly. She gave me a phone number for the branch and told me which prompts to press. So, I called, to no answer after around 4 min of holding. I decided to limp the vehicle to my hotel which was only another 4 miles up the highway. Over the next 2 hours, I called another 6 times to try and get someone on the phone, to no avail. While looking through the center console for some sort of contact card that may contain an email, I found they had not cleaned the trash from the previous renter. The original gentleman who helped me before leaving with the vehicle was really nice so, I’ll give 1 additional star for that. Currently typing this as I wait for a resolution.

  Love National! Emerald Isle is the absolute best. Being able to choose any car in the Emerald Isle section is a total game changer. You can sit in multiple vehicles before driving off to make sure the one you select is truly comfortable and enjoyable for the duration of your rental. I don’t know of any other rental company that offers this level of flexibility and control. Once you experience Emerald Isle, it’s hard to go back.
